You two are the most adorable couple I've ever seen.
Astraea2009-04-30 04:51:08
So, Nocht and Astraea ended up interrogating Ishant over OT about who married him and Reiha, and towards the end of it, I realized I should probably log this to giggle at later, but unfortunately, I started logging after Nocht finished his part up, so, boo, but much <3 for Nocht for the moment. We begin where I asked Izekeal how I should go about getting information out of Ishant, and him saying he didn't know, and Nocht saying that he should put his thinking in terms of combat and getting information out of enemy Seren.
So. One down.
QUOTE
(Order): Izekeal says, "Erm... I'm perhaps the worst example of such. My tactic
of behead now and ask questions later generally produces few if any results."
(Order): Izekeal says, "Unfortunately, I've found if someone doesn't wish to
reveal information, they won't. And the harder you try, the less willing they
are."
(Order): You say, "I am persistent, and what kind of maternal rolemodel would I
be if I allowed my children their way? Ishant. Speak up, and stop being so
unhelpful. You are making me very cross."
(Order): Ishant says, "Then to be blunt, as they say. It was Lord Eventru,
Reiha's former order head, who wed us. It was not ideal and the ceremony
was limited due to his dislike of Glomdoring."
(Order): Izekeal says, "That horse wed you two?"
(Order): Ishant says, "Indeed."
(Order): You say, "The self-styled Crown of the Exalted? He Who has in the past,
tread within the Halls of the Conquering Darkness, the home of that guild which
you watch over, and slain its members and made a mockery of all that they stood
for? That Eventru?"
(Order): Ishant says, "Yes, that one."
(Order): You say, "And you say that this was Reiha's idea?"
(Order): Ishant says, "It was half in jest, but she wanted to get married last
month and I appealed to Lord Nocht and she to Lord Eventru. I was too in shock
to really say no when you said Lord Eventru, the sometimes enemy of the Wyrd
actually agreed, perhaps he foresaw this happening."
(Order): You say, "Foresight requires consideration and the application of
wisdom. I find that highly unlikely. As for you, my dear, well, I will say only
that you owe me quite a bit for such a thing that you have allowed happen. To
think, a Nightshade married by a god of such a city as Celest, and not only
that, but Eventru, He who seeks to imbue every action made with a flamboyance
that matches the Sidereal Prince, and an obnoxious sense of entitlement that
matches the Silver Goddess'"
(Order): Ishant says, "As is your right, mother. I have offered you an
alternative whereby you can redo the act albeit without a divorce, but I will
await otherwise until you decide to find what I owe you most in."

The Trial of Reiha Nightshade
So after the Vegas-style wedding and the Nocht confession, here's part three: Astraea tackles Reiha.
So after the Vegas-style wedding and the Nocht confession, here's part three: Astraea tackles Reiha.
QUOTE
(The Nightshades): Astraea says, "Mmh, though it is something I would not relish being reminded of, I wished to note to the other Nightshade that Ishant and Reiha were married by Eventru. It was strange and abrupt, and I was not even involved or notified. I am rather put out by that."
(The Nightshades): Miryh says, "I've head of the wedding. I do think that its most disrespectful to you, Lady Astraea. As it was done without your notification."
(The Nightshades): Astraea says, "Just think, Overseer, a Nightshade married by Eventru, Crown of the Exalted."
(The Nightshades): Astraea says, "I am heartbroken."
(The Nightshades): Miryh says, "I feel your pain, alas why didn't Ishant think twice?"
(The Nightshades): Reiha says, "I am sure those are just silly rumours."
(The Nightshades): Astraea says, "Ah, enlighten us then, happy Reiha."
(The Nightshades): You say, "I have only heard of this rumour now. If it is true, then I am disappointed with our King."
(The Nightshades): Miryh says, "I've only heard. So I cannot say much. Please tell us, Reiha. Who married you and the King?"
(The Nightshades): Reiha says, "Rumours are just rumours. There was nobody there to verify it was really some Golden Lord or some such."
(The Nightshades): Reiha says, "Somebody that wishes to remain anonymous married the King and I."
(The Nightshades): Astraea says, "Are you sure that is the answer you want to give to me, Reiha? Realize that you hold within your title my name. You are a Nightshade, and no Nightshade has ever lied to another and lived to tell that particular tale."
(The Nightshades): Miryh says, "If you lie, you'd lose your little toe."
(The Nightshades): Reiha says, "It was perhaps a certain divine, but that it is not important whether or not I confirm or deny the small details. In the end, Ishant and I got married."
(The Nightshades): Miryh says, "I dont think I can accept that kind of answer... but its not my place to say anything."
(The Nightshades): Astraea says, "You do not understand what it means to be a Nightshade if you think such details are small. There is protocol, Reiha Nightshade, and there is decorum. I am..disappointed. Ishant was once my shining child, without imperfection in his endurance to bring beauty and grace to the Nightshade. But..to do such a thing. He has made a grave error in judgement. But I must hear it from your lips as well, daughter-in-law. You will tell me who married the two of you, or I will lay your retribution upon Ishant's shoulders."
(The Nightshades): Astraea says, "Ishant may be King, but to him, I am still mother. All of the regality in the world will not save him from my anger, nor you, consort of my son."
(The Nightshades): Reiha says, "Ishant did no wrong, Mother Nightshade. I asked the Golden Lord to perform our ceremony due to my impatience. He did not approve of the idea, but did not wish to insult an immortal and tolerated His presence. All blame lies on my shoulders."
(The Nightshades): Astraea says, "Well, at the very least, you have come clean of your attempt at beguiling me. Something which I will be sure to remember. Like, Ishant though, you have caused me a grief perhaps you do not understand. The hedonistic Crown of the Exalted has positioned Himself as enemy to our commune, our Lord Nocht, our family's heritage, and many of us personally. In allowing Him to touch you and my child in such a manner, you have despoiled your union with His influence. I am not sure how to rectify this. Ishant offered to redo the marriage, but I believe the only thing that would cause me more disdain than this would be to fall prey to a pale imitation of such. My Lord knows of this transgression, and perhaps it is through His grace that I will find the answer to my question."
(The Nightshades): Astraea says, "For better or for worse, you are inexorably linked to me, Reiha. Ishant is the sixth time that you have been married, and that disposition may have worried me in the past, but what worries me most these days is that there will come a foe with the guise of ally that would drag our family back into the degradation it saw after Gloriana wilted, and we were forced to abide in Faethorn."
(The Nightshades): Astraea says, "I share with Rowena a lack of tolerance for those that would sully the things I would label mine."
(The Nightshades): Reiha says, "My apologies, while I do take my marriage and family seriously, I do not take His threats seriously. I only thought about my entertainment and desperation that resulted at trying to find someone to wed us. When I next feel the urge to act so outlandishly, I shall think of how it may affect our family's reputation first in the future."
(The Nightshades): Reiha says, "From trying to find someone, rather."
(The Nightshades): Miryh says, "The impact lasts and it does not go away though.."
(The Nightshades): Astraea says, "You are no longer Reiha, daughter. From here on in, you are Nightshade before all else. That means you carry our blessings and our burdens. You are capable of making us beautiful, and you are capable of bringing ugliness to this family."
(The Nightshades): Reiha says, "Of course, Mother Nightshade. I shall keep my insanity inside my manse's stockroom where it belongs."
(The Nightshades): Astraea says, "I will consider your punishment as I consider Ishant's. For now, stew in your shame, and the shame you have brought to my family."
