Trust me. My mason will out him/herself, since everyone wants him/her to come out.

@Rika: I actually did ask something of a similar nature, but you'll find out!

large post incoming

The reason I ended the day yesterday, was because I think everybody who role-claimed was being truthful. I don't like that 4 people have already voted without waiting for information.

Bali, I hope your post is good smile.gif

No need to not vote. If there's any information that's relevant we can unvote instantly, it's not like we're going to lynch him for a while.

Except we have no idea how many mafia folks there are, and you never know if they can get a random bandwagon going or not.

We should lynch anyone who "accidentally" ninja lynches.

... except you aren't ninja lynching when the person already claimed. Shiri, why are you acting scummy again? All you need is 3 scum 1SK, and 1 cult leader and you already have enough force to try to lynch someone who is most likely town, or you pressure to find out who the other mason member is, helping the scum figure out which power roles to kill at night.

And I know you already know this, because you have argued the point before.

Vote Shiri unless somebody has a better idea.

This made no sense at all.
Daganev2009-05-10 04:59:13
basically, we've got 4 people allready voting for solanis for no really good reason. I mentioned to shiri, that doing so is a bad idea because the mafia could use that situation to roll a lynch. Shiri responded that it would not happen, because we would attack any ninja lynch. I then pointed out that Solanis allready roleclaimed, and so there would be no ninja lynch.

4 people + 5 possible mafia is 9 votes. The outcome of those 9 votes, would either be a townie gets lynched, or it would force solanis's parter to come out, thus giving the scum 2 less targets to worry about at night. (allowing them to be more likely to take out the power roles, such as doctor/investigator etc.)
Furien2009-05-10 05:02:25
First off, competent scum players generally know that all jumping on a single person is just going to highlight their entire team. I doubt this is what is happening with Solanis.

Second, I'm just not convinced it's him unless we pressure him to reveal his partner.

I'm saying that the 4 votes allready there, make it easy for the scum to all jump on. Since the reasoning is so flimsy. They have no reason not to jump on.

That's why they -don't- jump on, right in your own sentence, unless I'm missing your point.

4 people think the reasoning is good enough for them to vote already. I'm sure by now our conversation has difused the situation. But Shiri was arguing saying it was fine from the get go, and I know he knows better.
Rika2009-05-10 05:52:12
... if scum wanted to just "roll a lynch", they will reveal their entire team. I really don't get what you are trying to say.

I...yeah this makes no sense. I think you're talking about completely seperate scenarios there. And I usually argue for the 2nd mason to come out - for example, that game of Rika's where I was proven cop and voted on Xenthos until I investigated him because Aesyra didn't come out as his partner. The main advantage of masons is that you can "prove" them to be townies and get them out of the way for your suspicion - why not take advantage of that as townies?

Anyway, why would you call for someone to investigate me, then when no one says I'm scum the next day, vote me anyway?
Shiri2009-05-10 07:05:37
Ok, Balizar's been typing for like 3 hours now, and Kiradawea's been gone, and Solanis' mason hasn't spoken up. Stalllllllll.
