Damn you people for keeping me up when I need to be in bed. Making me read your words, and look at your shiny pictures. Have you no shame? Oh, look! A penny....

Suddenly, Kiriwe whirls around, pulls out a long wand, and points it at Balizar. "AVADA KEDAVRA!" she yells, and a bolt of green energy discharges from the end, slamming into Balizar's chest. He collapses to the ground and dies with an expression of utter shock on his face.
Balizar was RASKOLNIKOV (tracker).
Balizar is now dead, but DAY CONTINUES.

You are RODION ROMANOVITCH RASKOLNIKOV.
You are the main character of the famous novel Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. Convinced of your superiority, you seek to exert the will on the louses that inhabit the world around you. You have no special powers.
You win with the town.
* SPECIAL: When Raskolnikov places his first vote, he receives a PM in which he is informed that he will receive a power if he lynches this person. If he does, he gains a tracker ability.

Sigh. Well. I'm going to Vote: Zynna
Arix2009-05-12 11:26:57
Well, that clears that up. As Bali stated, I did in fact use an ability on Shiri last night, as well as on Kiradawea on night 1. I have no idea if it worked, but I haven't gotten any messages, which tells me that those two are either vanilla, or their powers are not compatible with mine
Shiri2009-05-12 11:36:12
Well that was obnoxious, ugh.
Arix you let on more than you had to just there since I'm clearly not dead or anything, but ok.
Balizar wasn't scum, just screwing around with us, so his defence of Zynna isn't particularly meaningful. I'm thinking we go after a lurker at this point. Also I'm noticing we can't even rely on traditional scum tells in this game because of how ed up the roles are, ugh. Down a doctor and now a tracker and now Arix is a target.
Vote: Aerotan.

My ability is fairly useless, since it requires that I target someone with a compatible ability at the same time they happen to be using their power
Arix2009-05-12 11:40:34
Also, nobody is suspicious of Kiriwe? That ability doesn't seem scummy at all to anyone?

I thought that, it's apparently retarded for scum to have a daykill in which they have to post in bold. Closest thing might be a cultist or something (Lord Voldemort or something), but right now, not suspicious of Kiriwe. Better targets.

Stop saying stuff like that!!
Daykills can be both scum and town powers even in normal games, rarely. Kiriwe used it in a fairly normal way, and being Voldemort or similar isn't that bad since townies can be villains in their original contexts.
Arix2009-05-12 11:54:09
I'm way too tired to go slogging through Aerotan's posts right now. I vaguely recall him refusing to participate in the discussion, but I'll have to ponder on that a bit more. Night peoples

I don't see how we can't rely on traditional scum tells.
So Shiri, you don't find Zynna scummy at all? Her aggression? Her trying to spout false theories left and right? ...especially the reasons for thinking Kira, ugh.
Zynna is definitely around, so post!

Because the roles make no sense. So the tells that usually map onto people pushing that role's agenda don't work anymore. Well, mainly Balizar's, Myrkr's was fairly standard in terms of playstyle and she just Did It Wrong. Anyway, I should have qualified it with "can't rely on __ AS MUCH" because obviously we can to some extent.

I do find Zynna scummy and posted as much earlier, quite independently of Balizar's sticking up for her, but I think we have to go for lurkers with even more priority than usual because of the wtfness of the mechanics. It's not like I'm against going for Zynna though.

I admire you attempting to defend your partner (in crime or otherwise), but why so quickly go for me?
I think Shiri's idea of going after a lurker is a good one; hopefully it will get them talking, and we can get more input into making our decision.
Vote: Aertotan I have no preference in lurkers really, but since Shiri already put a vote on him, it makes sense to pressure vote the same person or they won't have enough votes to want to talk.

Alright. Well, I'm going to sleep. And I bet that by the time I check in 16 hours or so, someone will be lynched, as per the last two deaths.
Shiri2009-05-12 12:18:22
Hey, wait a minute, didn't Shaddus post some crap about Balizar being an infidel? That has nothing to do with his role.
Shiri2009-05-12 12:25:44
Hmmm. Actually, Diamonda's role is kind of throwing me. It says she can smite heretics, but what does that mean? Shaddus definitely makes the claim that it's a specific subset of players, but it looks like "anyone" to me. Also how would he know that? He has no way of communicating with her about it, so what's the point of him knowing? I wonder if I would qualify as a heretic, my role isn't Catholic...but that would be way more roles than not. And Rastwhatever isn't particularly anti-religious. Wasn't Russia at that time Catholic? (can't be bothered researching)
Idk. I'm not liking this (but I'm gonna keep my vote on Aerotan unless anyone else has any insight on it.)

Zynna2009-05-12 12:35:33
I need to go back and read Diamondais' role. I just reread Shaddus' post, which I can copy here for easier referral. If legit, it makes sense it would only affect a subset of players. Casilu is a song, so she likely can't be affected by it. My role has nothing to do with religion, and Shaddus said he investigated someone else (can't remember who) and could not get information because they player wasn't affected by religion, . So that's at least 3 people right there it doesn't affect.
SHADDUS QUOTE:
VOTE:Balizar.
Due to my powers of deduction, and some snazzy spanish rice, I have deduced that Balizar is in fact not a Catholic, but a FILTHY HERETIC. When Diamondais let it slip and mentioned the word "heretic" or "infidel", I believed that this may have tipped someone off. Upon investigating Balizar last night, I found that he is a heretic, someone Diamondais could have killed. I believe that he found has a way or his mafia buddies have a way to kill her. He lied about Myrkr and caused our doctor to die. Scummy to the core, IMHO.
