I think there was a thread about this a while ago but whatever I don't want to dig it up.

Does anyone play dota? For those not in the know, it's a custom map for Warcraft III where you join a team of 5 and control a single hero unit, gaining levels/gold to eventually destroy the enemy team's base. It's well-regarded to the point where many people buy WC3 solely to play dota! It's really fun, and WC3 (having come out in 2002) is cheap as hell and you can pretty much play it on a box of cornflakes if you wanted to.

I've talked with a few people about it so I thought it would be fun if we could get a Lusternia game going sometime. My battle.net username is 3soteric (US East) and on garena I am esoterica. If we have enough people we can play a 5v5 game or we could just have a few of us join a game together and pubstomp it.

I'm rusty to the point where it's flaking off, but I can dust off WC3 if there's more interest.

I have a friend who plays it, and he's told me it's very cool.

He has also told me that the people there are very mean to new players. >_>

I used to be a moderator on the DotA-Allstars forums back when Guinsoo still held the reigns (5.x era). When IceFrog took the project, I became inactive for a bit but I've been playing more recently.

I'm beta testing 6.60 and... let me say, there's a lot of changes that will have to be balanced.

Hell to the yeah Sham. We talked about this before- let's get some pubs going and wreck it up.

APPARENTLY in the new map, Lina's Ultimate is replaced with a Bristle Warpath type skill, boosting her ASPD and MSPD. Like, imba.

If there's interest, I'm definitely up for it. If I'm around at the right time, though.

It's not that great considering you'll only get 3 charges of the buff and that's if you use all your skills. Lina's cooldowns are too long to make good use of it.

It's still better than Ultimate, yes, but it's not that great.

That's pretty cool in theory, but unless it lasts a long time I'm not sure how much it will help her out; the MS boost would mostly be useful for landing LSA but you open with LSA so... you won't have it.

Definitely looking forward to the new map though...!

The Aghanim's change in 6.60 is the most ridiculous thing ever, by the way.
