While I'm not 100% certain, I think that Moondancer Faelings are just as squishy as Cantor Faelings, so I guess the same can be applied for them. With that said, I have to agree with Furien.

Trans lorecrafting, astrologer faelings are actually pretty tanky. I remember Laysus being able to take more of a beating than me as a monk.

For a Cantor Faeling Influencing would really be the way to go. Come to think of it, it might be the only way to go for such setup, unless have nerves of steel and dedication of... something. Just because you'd have to bash small things... like forever. Your biggest problem is the fact that Cantors suck in the DMP department and the fact that you lose even more utility from already sub-par Music spec, because of your natural lvl3 sip bonus. Cantor bashing isn't bad when you are a Human with Trans resilience, Beast Bodyguard, Trans Acrobatics and have a Life blessing, whore Tosha blessing, lvl2 Life rune and RoA.

However, base 16Cha is already nice, add BardicPresence to that, a Beauty Blessing and maybe a Throne and you have some pretty nice amounts of ego right there. Get BeastMastery up to 33% Master for some nice influence bonus and ego regeneration and Influence up to 0% Master for the Basic attacks.
Granted, this will throw you back a bit in learning the guild skills, but it's an option.

Thanks man Very helpful. that means ill save for a throne and some credits to get to Netzach then influencing is my way. Ok but now how do I know where to influence? I know this threat isn't for this but maybe someone could answer me.

You can get thrones cheaply, I think I got mine for under 40k and I've heard of even cheaper designs. That's really not much for something that lasts 500+ months.
As for influencing spots... not sure I'll be much of a help there. Tosha is a popular choice for begging, so are Kephera Hives... you could ask an influencers, but most of them will rather chew their arm off before they give you their spots smile.gif

I don't know why people even ask what to bash. The answer is you bash the same thing you bashed all the rest of your other levels just with less reward.

Orcs, merians, gorgogs, elfen, ur'dead, kephera, tunnel trash, catacombs (when you hit level 90ish), spectres (do the whole quest for good xp) and of course, astral. Do this all the time. Repeat.

You will hate it but once you accept the fact that you bash the same stuff that you bash at level 60 or 70, with a few new areas opening up and a little more crits, then you won't feel so bad.

how about good hunting places for a Faeling circle 75 Cantor (bard) to get experience fast without dying fast?

Got anything for a level 76 Faeling Moondancer?

Edit: Did not notice the two posts above mine, but still a valid question I think.

Khariel can -barely- hunt Shallach (orcs) on his own, and that takes some determination/practice; Mind you, he's circle 60, so I'd think that all of you stronger faelings would be able to bash it. Again though, influencing's the way to go for experience; gold might be another matter if you can moonburst.

Of course, my characters are all messed up- I've got the level 60 faeling serenguard who goes bashing, and the level 79 loboshigaru bard who goes influencing smile.gif

I influenced my way to level 80 as a Moondancer Faeling, doing Ladies, kephera, and sometimes guards. The experience starts to get slower at about level 75, but it's still not too bad if you work steadily at it. (Which I am too lazy to do anymore, so I'm still halfway to 81.)

Hunting for unspecc'd faelings is... bad. :/ You have to bash the same things that midbies and even lowbies do. Moondancers have Drawdown, which helps, but a faeling bard is definitely better off influencing until 80.

edit: oh yeah, suggestions. You could try quinotaurs in the Inner Sea.

I did orcs at 11 as a Viscanti bard. ninja.gif

I bashed Kephera to Demigod.
Klaermon2009-06-20 16:33:43
Kephera's on the Celestian banned hunting list, right?

Why the heck can't you hunt orcs? No system or even a sipper?
Vathael2009-06-20 19:27:06
Uh.. it doesn't take a whole lot to kill orcs. Don't kill the elders or have focus mind/pennyroyal if you do. The rest are easy.
Kiradawea2009-06-20 21:36:20
Celestians bash Illithoids instead of Kepherans.

Both, at first. Mind you, now I have both, but no masterworks, and a SG faeling blademaster... that's basically as weak as you can get, physically. Decent for PvP, but atrocious for bashing.

Yeah...get some better swords, go for high speed. You should be able to take braves at around 1400 health, and archers at around 1800 or so.

Use health potions and healing scroll and sparkleberry if you need to.

It's the other way around, actually.

A faeling with no skills will be awful for bashing. However, if you have surge, drawdown, and buff health as much as possible, you can tank just as well as the hardy races, if no better due to sip and herb bonuses. Additionally, with a high enough level for crits, you will also kill faster. If you want to influence too, I'd go so far as to say that a moon faeling warrior is a better choice than a night shadowlord faeling warrior.

With the base 7 STR, however, you will always, always suck in PvP, even as a bonecrusher. tongue.gif

Kephera are better, since most of them don't drain health.
Kiradawea2009-06-21 18:45:28
If you're caught tho, you get disfavoured and kicked outta the city.

That's why they move to Magnagora.
