What would you like to see in June?

Back to Common Grounds.

Forging. For the love of all that is holy, forging.

Forging. There is very little things in my life that brought me as much pain as forging. One of these was shattering my pelvis.

Look into the usefulness of sacraments.

Or, revamp rituals by having two specializations come off of it for each city ... one guardian-specific and one warrior-specific.

Why should an organization who did not put in the power to make a Vernal Ascendant benefit from that Ascendant? If an Ascendant wants to move, the new org can pay the power cost to keep them Ascendant if they want.

I didn't say for free, perhaps half price ascendant stealing!

What comes to mind for me right now;
  • Forging, so we can find a new issue to flock to once it's changed!
  • The monk fixes that have been apparently in the works
  • Some sort of change to the family system. It's not like anyone can overthrow the Talnara House any time soon at this rate!
  • For the love of all that is holy, please make Guards uninfluencable at Nexii? After starting to do it myself a few times, I realized how annoying it truly is ><
  • Perhaps something for Ecology, a difference between the spec for Bards and for Druids? It'd make it so they could be looked at by envoys without overpowering one class vs. another.
  • A language for Kephera, since the Illithoid made it out better and could understand all languages? It'd be nice. >.> -hopes-

Many listed because I'm a nub and can't decide sad.gif

I must cast my cards into the hat for FORGING!

Enchanting a good set of robes is more expensive than forging and on the same random stat mess. I think both enchanting robes and forging could be put on the same boat for an update and help everybody out, since it's all about the RNG. (If there is something to fix.)

This ties in with the "fix forging" calls but I hope goes one level deeper. Right now it's nigh impossible to get an envoy to submit a report for something that isn't focused on his guild skills and benefits most of the guild. No one wants to "waste" their slot on something that isn't combat balance, for fear that other guilds might gain an advantage. Tradeskills are just one example of something that gets missed, but there are plenty of others.

Now, I'm not saying envoy reports would have fixed forging by now (or even could), but maybe it would have made it an issue worth working on. And plenty of other things might have gotten looked at. So what I'd like June to be is the First Annual Month of Envoying Stuff Other Than Combat Balance. One month in each year envoy reports would have to be not combat-balance-related. So envoys would not feel they were falling behind or wasting a slot to try a tradeskill or common skill or even something not skill related. 8% isn't that much to offer to everything-but-combat, after all.

1. Forging is nice

2. Ascendant skills / Cults

2.5. Monks

3. Families

4. Nexus worlds

I'd like to see what this exciting aetherspace update is. I really like the idea of it (especially after watching Star Trek). Just didn't get into it too much because of the awkwardness/spamminess of navigating through ASCII.
Would be nice if an aetherspace update could be tied to some event that could bolster bard's background and RP too... I know we just got a nice tradeskill boost, but the initial rush from that seems to be short-lived and gone now.

Fix great houses. What we have now is a complete mess.

Secondly, Fix avenger. There are still huge issues with it like not being able to defend yourself in enemy territory, for example.

1. Forging.

2. The family system. Something that will make becoming #1 honour-wise feasible (especially faced with the Talnaras), as Harkux says. Also, I'd like to see some little things go towards families without House (Lesser or Great) status, like a family channel for talking. (Yes, this is what clans are for, but it shouldn't be a 500,000-gold investment to be able to talk to your family all at once.) Little benefits like that. Also, single parents should be able to adopt kids officially.

3. These aetherspace changes. (Personally, I'd like to see aetherspace removed and just have an NPC travel service to the bubbles, but that's just me. I know a lot of people enjoy aetherspace so it probably won't happen!)
Simimi2009-06-01 20:20:59
Not to detract from my forging vote, but Lendren's idea sounds amazing as well!

I'd like to see organizational imbalances continue to be worked out (changes have been made, which are appreciated, but I don't think it's done yet). Look at each possible pairing of allies (and also organizations going alone) against each other possible pairing/alone, and even that out. Once that's set, I think any additional conflict will be that much more fun because the base is solid.

Can't there be a bandaid fix to forging by creating a NPC that will give a weapon (of preset stats) to any member of a warrior guild that asks? Then people could choose a different tradeskill until forging is looked at more carefully.

To add to the family bit, maybe make it so you don't have to be a banner house to be able to become a vassal house of another family.

Aetherspace monks!

Joking aside (and I don't know if this would EVER be possible), but I'd like to have a separate window pop up in nexus (pin-able!) that displays aetherspace in real time instead of spam-time.

If not possible, the general consensus seems to be forging.

That, or the idea I'm working on right now that's probably a third of the way done, and five pages long already. biggrin.gif

I think the solution is obvious. Lusternia needs giant robot combat.

I'll take the Shogun Executioner.

It comes with theme music.

Maybe we can FORGE them... suspicious.gif
