Mini-Maggot!

It halfway turns you into a maggot (adding a line or two to your description, and maybe adding "deformed" to your race line), but having no stat modifiers or the like. Lasts longer the more essence the individual is willing to pay.

Basically just a way to show displeasure, without actually -harming- the target. Maybe put a duration limit on it, or make it expensive enough that it's not just used to 'maggot' an entire organization out of boredom.

Like a 30 minute maggoting, for a large essence cost. It would be too OP to have it function as it does now with real gods.

How about an item destruction ability? You focus your essence into the item and it blows up. Turns ascendents into humgiis!

Which is precisely why I said this wouldn't affect stats or anything - it would just add a lien or two to the description, and maybe an additional bit to their race line.

Divine Emotation! Allows you to emote to somebody from anywhere in the local area!

The ability to teleport to/scry a room by it's room number.
The ability to fly through aetherspace without a ship.
Psionisentience: Psiscan/psisense in Acesendant form.
Deliverance: That thing where an item descends on a golden platform.
Create chocolate.

+ Personal Haven (customized descriptions, environment, etc). Ascending to the Havens will now take you to this room. It has a single down exit, which exits into the Divine Havens.

+ Ability to raise a screen within your Haven that will prevent any person from scrying you (like Veil in Stealth). This would be a relatively cheap essence cost given it would apply only to your personalized haven.

+ Ability to open a portal and invite friends/allies into your haven! The target must be on Prime and outside of enemy territory. The ultimate location to have a private conversation! Upon exiting your haven (by trying to enter the lower Divine Havens), the target would be ejected to the Portal of Fates (this already happens). The tesseract feature of the Divine Havens (tesseract anywhere) would not apply within your own personal haven.

+ Power of Form: For X million essence, you may change into another race. This can only be done once per Lusternian year. It should also be possible to change gender and EVEN ASSUME the elusive neutral gender.

+ Cleanse: You may destroy a flame sigil that is attached to a non-sigil item upon the ground for 2p and a small amount of essence (let's put the burden on cleaning up garbage on Ascendants!)

+ Bonding: Bond with any number of items in your inventory (medium essence cost). Should you lose an item and it still exists, you can summon it to you for 10p.

+ Allies regenerate endurance/willpower faster while basking within your presence

Huh. A bunch of good ideas in this thread.

How about a cult ability that lets you spend essence to give a cult member a +6% chance to get critical hits for the next five minutes (like the rune but very temporary)?

If the ability could not be cast on yourself, I could see it lasting a little longer (10 minutes?). The essence cost would be interesting to determine. I would want something relatively minor so this would actually be a worthwhile ability, but I'm sure there will be naysayers. A nice idea though.

A custom deathsight, like:

Person has died from Ascendant's awesomeness.

Usual restrictions like duration, essence cost, and everything not mentioned here would still apply.
