I always love stealing the Thunder Bluff flame, then bubbling off the side. Or just sitting in the valley in Org fishing in my RP gear.

It's your computer secretly trying to save your soul from WoW.

Probably. laugh.gif WoW almost saved me from Lusternia actually, but then I felt nostalgic one day (and was getting fed up with some of my WoW RP) and ended up back on Lusternia. Now I kind of wish WoW would save me from it again, because my wallet was so much happier before I came back. losewings.gif

I need to get some damn discipline and stick with just my Iron Elite. >.>

Exactly. "Oh, I'll just save money and play Lusternia." LOL.

Let's face it, iTunes. You are just inferior. If my iPod was not a slave to you I would have you uninstalled in seconds. Forcibly. With a stick wrapped in barbed wire in a tank full of hungry sharks. You no longer give me what I need, and now you stalk me relentlessly with No Disk errors and constantly chase away my CPU and bandwidth in a desperate attempt to keep me around. You are pathetic.

Goodbye, iTunes. You never meant anything to me.

That being said, I am in need of iPod management freeware that won't break my iPod. So if anyone has any good ideas, shoot them my way.

Heeeeehhhhhhhhhh.

The new install of iTunes for me decided, "OH YOU DON'T HAVE A DVD DRIVE SO YOU'RE SCREWED 'CAUSE I'M NOT GONNA RECOGNIZE YOUR CD DRIVE."

Didn't work on the reinstall either. Open Office is being a... not nice, too. But anyway.

However, you can go into the Program Manager (whatever teh heck it's called when you hit Ctrl-alt-del) and turn off the stuff where iTunes calls home to mothership in the Processes section. I've been doing that for a long time.
Everiine2010-06-29 19:11:26
Open Office doesn't work for you? I picked it up a few years ago and haven't looked back since. For the stuff I need to do it functions just as well as M. Word and doesn't cost me a week's pay.
Xavius2010-06-29 19:16:40
For the things I use it for (mostly displaying output generated by a program I wrote), it's much, much better than Office. I acknowledge that most people use Office for Word and Word when all they really needed was Wordpad, and Open Office isn't as intuitive or quick for tasks it's overqualified for.

I used to use Open Office, and probably would redownload it for things I do that MW doesn't like, overall though, MW works best for me for writing school papers.

Is it $150 better than Open Office, though?

Well considering I got the student one, and it came with other nifty things I use regularly, it was to me.
Everiine2010-06-29 20:46:11
$150? Oh, that's a week's pay from BOTH my jobs then.

That's for home and student. Home and business is twice that.

Throw in some Cheeze(Intentional, we all know that's not real cheese), Lettuce, Hamburger and sweat mixed with motor oil and old pepper and you'll be a Taco Bell meal! hide.gif

In unrelated news, I've given up on Wowwing on my laptop.

Anyone in the market for a slightly tempermental Alienware? 4 gig of ram, 17 inch screen, brand new charger...you might kill your thigh's leghair, but if you're a woman, that's just a plus.

could be, depending on the price. What do you mean by tempermental?

It has heat issues, the graphics card drivers will occasionally fail and dump you to a bluescreen, and if you tap it the wrong way, it'll freeze up in a manner requiring you to simply pop the battery out and do a fresh start.

Unfortunately, it also has a small crack in the side as well. I keep it taped up, but yeah. It's there.

Also, the keyboard heats to 200 degrees Fahrenheit and the mouse is made of poison ivy.

My supervisors decided it would be a good idea for us all to play musical chairs and move desks at work. I hate doing that, because I have to set up everything on my comp from scratch, which takes about an hour normally. Not only that, but I got moved to the desk where, during the day, a disgusting, greasy, nasty man sits. I came into work today to find my desk COVERED in horrible greasy fingerprints. ><

I left a sticky note once asking him to clean the desk before he leaves, but he merely threw it away. dry.gif
