My friend invited me to go play D&D with them next week. So I figure, why not? Can't hurt. But I have no idea how to play, or even get started, or anything, I've never done this before! Uh, I'm just kind of staring at this character sheet thing and the book all like, what? And occasionally I prod at it in uncertainty and recoil like a caveman who just discovered fire.

crazy.gif I'm so bad at things like this. Ahhh!

Roll a Wizard or a Druid.

Just trust me on this one. ROLL A WIZARD OR A DRUID.

Or.

Convince your friends to pick up World of Darkness instead whistling.gif

Or Legend of the Five Rings.

Or Nobilis.

Feel like I'm coughing my lungs up. And I can't take any more cough medicine.

Eeeehhh...I suppose. You'll at least dodge the 15 minute day...

A repeat of my last post, raised in general dissatisfaction by my boss almost giving away my $300 sunglasses to some rando because she "doesn't sell them, so someone must have forgotten them here."

I had to chase them out the door. Roar.

Supersaturated air would spontaneously precipitate water when disturbed, so if you walked outside into it you'd end up soaked.

With this heat and high humidity, you tend to end up soaked anyway crazy.gif

Depends which edition you're playing. I don't think Wizards are retardedly OP in 4e with the changes to the spell system.

...which would be a fantastic aeromancer effect. I don't know what it would do, but it would sure look cool.

Put it up as a defense, then anytime you enter a room it automatically becomes cloudy? It would be a neat effect, but unbalanced as hell.

Or Nobilis.

Unless they want to spend $100+ on a single book, that would be a little difficult. Though it is a great system.

Maybe you set it as a trap, or like floating hexes. An enemy walks into the room and they're immediately soaked which reveals them if they're shrouded, and makes them vulnerable to lightning attacks for a few seconds (extra damage).

I'm pretty sure it's 4? I'm not actually sure. I don't know anything, I'm just kind of being brought along because I'm never busy and they needed another person. And they're making me try to make this character thing on my own! So mean. blackeye.gif

EDIT: ok I looked at the book yes indeed it is 4.

Warlocks aren't bad, but they're one of the more complicated classes to play. You're part Striker, part Controller, rather than all Striker.

If you want to do lots of damage, go Rogue. If you want to do a lot of damage with magic, go Sorcerer.

See, I would think that would be awesome! I'd watch the deathsight and be all, "Feel my vicarious badassness, silly mortals! My namesake kills you all! Muahahaha!" KneelSuckers.gif

You know, in my head. laugh.gif

It's not huge amounts, it's just like...5 bucks so he can buy some junk to make a cake...and I'm fine with it, but I want him to pay me back. All 5 dollars. And he only wants me to get 1.75 back.
