Hrm, I don't play WoW, didn't apply for beta, but eh, lets see how it goes.
So, intrigued, I clicked on the mail, only to see a wall of text. Hrm.
Clicked allow pictures. Still wall of text. Hrm.
Oh well, click link. First page: Please enter your email address and password. Oh no, doesn't sound right anymore.

I stopped, went back to my laptop, and tried the link again. This time, Chrome's anti-phishing filter caught it. Also, it's URL is us.battle.net.battqe.net
Just to take a look, I looked at the official Battlenet webpage, and it looks almost identical.

In short, I hate that email that got me excited for that short moment, and how scarily close I was to divulging my email password. Everything up there before the required email password only tripped my alarm bells on hindsight, simply because because 'WOW BETA' overwhelmed everything. Thank goodness for an instinctive reluctance to reveal any information online, as well as Chrome phishing filter.

Just general, horrible, school-related stress.

I live in a dorm. I want to destroy the tv of the people in the room next to me ( not the suitemates, the people on the other side). Why the &^@&#&@ do they have the goddamn tv on at 4 in the &**&&$# morning, and why can I hear it!!!! There is quiet hour! BUT I suck at confrontation, so am pretty much paralized and unable to do a damn thing about it.

If you have a RA or a dorm rep, they'll be able to go talk to them.

Though, they could be like me. Unless I am absolutely exhausted, I can't sleep without a movie or something on.

Illness sucks. Today my mum is in hospital for an OP to remove breast cancer. (2nd time she has had it) Not terrible news yet, one of the most treatable forms, but I'm still worried. Plus tonight when I visit my dad I have to widen the ramp I built for him into the garden because his MS is still progressing and he now needs a powered wheelchair. Sigh.

Apparently the bank I have here feels it's okay to move my funds around my accounts without letting me know. May have potentially up a payment to the uni, isn't that nice.

There is a school offering me a 12.5K per year scholarship.

We are also 80% sure it's a scam.

So, the class average from the exam one week ago today was 60% and I don't get my exam back until Monday. I am SO nervous about this.

Stupid grad school. Not only is this semester completely useless, but its time consuming enough that it kills my already rare urge to teach something useful on my own. My $2100 a class education is causing me to learn less.

On a related note, my first midterm was insanely easy. The first 50 points (9 questions) took me 10 minutes to do. The second 50 points (1 question) took me 3 minutes to figure out, AND AN HOUR OF CONSTANT WRITING to finish. A half page of a class diagram, and a page and a half of coding. A quarter of the coding was almost completely identical to another quarter of the coding. Wtf, like that class wasn't enough of a waste of time already.

Average in the two labs run by our TA was considerably higher, so I feel a bit better!

Casi you are super smart and you and I both know you're gonna get that exam back and see that you completely kicked its ass!

Why must all you people have CONFIDENCE IN MY ABILITIES!?

I spent the better part of my morning cleaning my room because I found bugs in it again, my housemates laughed because I had essentially tossed tons of things in my room outside into the hall. I went once more to the accommodation office so they can send someone to check on it, again.

about half hour earlier, my one flatmate saw my facebook status about it, and came to ask me to look at something in my room. She has the same bugs. The two other flatmates came out, saw it, we all devolved into girly screaming fits, it tried to run away, we threw shoes at it and killed it.

My flatmates are all cleaning their rooms right now, the same way I had, basically tossing things out of the way in order to see if they can find it and vacuum just in case.

So this is a BOO OMG BUGS AHHHHH!!!!!! and other reactions as such.

And, I feel somewhat happy knowing that these bugs are not my imagination, they are there and it's not just me.

But oh my god bugs!

I keep eating the dish of Halloween candy I have out in preparation for kids who aren't allowed to trick or treat in the dark. Whoppers, lemonheads, why are you so readily-available and nummy?
