Okay tomorrow I will get the books needed for my report. I will. And then I will write it. I really will. And I'll be done a week early and no longer feel guilty. This is going to happen. It is.

...I hope. sad.gif

I was going to get the books I needed for my report today so I could actually do it, and at the same time check out the library that is closest to me for the first time (I just moved), but I searched the website to see what was available, and... nothing. I find the library consistently disappointing when it comes to thing I need for school, and I don't want to go to the school library because its all the way down in Baltimore *shiver*

Oh well, I'll just do what I usually do and let google provide me with all the info I need. content.gif

On the topic of books and libraries. Mine is so dissapointing, there is no snow here now because it rained all day yesterday, but it's been closing at 4pm both yesterday and today. Not only this, but we have a project to do on Germany, and for the topic of the reunification, it has a pitiful amount of books, and almost all except for maybe one or two were taken out. sad.gif

Sad.

So it finally decides to snow...at the weekend. When I don't get snow days and thus have to drive the 160 miles to work and back every day when every other sod in the country has had a week off. I'm British, by the way, so feel free to poke fun at our government's inability to deal with the cold weather.

Ouch on the travelling. Was at 9.5 inches of snow outside the door myself earlier. What you need is to see a clip of a guy falling on the 6 and 9 o'clock news to cheer you up! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CT0a-Hgumo...feature=related

This guy cheered up the whole nation last Jan/Feb! (am Irish btw, so our government is worse than yours! ninja.gif)

Public libraries and academic libraries serve different community needs, so the collections rarely overlap.

Got a friend visiting, and then received the news that a mutual friend of us both has been killed in a hit and run incident. He was only 18.

Thats mostly true, but public libraries tend to have the basics, whereas the academic libraries tend to have more depth. Its just where the line between them is that I sometimes guess wrong and disagree with.

Talk to the librarians! Community feedback is important to making sure the collection is solid. It's important, because you only have so much money for books, and you need to know what people want and will use, and what they won't. The more feedback you can get from your patrons, the better! /librarian mode

My blind dog hurt his leg. 'Apply mending to Apollo' didn't work so hopefully we'll be able to get a vet appointment tomorrow.

My connection is being stupid, and it all started after the rain. So now I get disconnected at random times, and can't really do much after a certain time. And the window in which I get a bunch of disconnects is when Haiden and his band of idiots love to raid.

A pet peeve of mine.

Anarchy does NOT equal lawlessness.

And Anarchy does NOT equal jungle rule.

(At least not the political philosophy.)

Spider attacked me from the ceiling.

I know this because I felt something in my hair a few minutes after I sat down (having showered a few moments prior). I figured it was my mother throwing a piece of paper; shake my head, spider falls on my hand.

Cue freakout.

My mother comes over while it's sitting there on the floor, steps on it. Kills it.

I feel bad. sad.gif

My computer just informed me that the tektek avatars in this forum are really malware, and do I really want to browse this forum? (Y/N)

You too, huh?

This'll be bothersome.
Trinit2010-12-06 18:53:01
It's rather annoying. Only this page though, for some reason.

It's a cranial cruciate ligament tear. No bone fractures, thankfully. I'm getting mixed messages about whether or not surgery is necessary. If it is, I guess he'll be getting a $1000-$2000 Christmas present. twitch.gif

The coffee I made earlier was stronger than the kind we usually have, and so I've had the horrible caffeine jitters all day. sad.gif
