So after spending 15 hours first painting a bunch of my new house and then un-painting it, we discovered that the ceiling hadn't been properly maintained by the housing agency so it was falling apart, so we needed to hire someone else to fix that for us and then paint it.
Whew, no more work for me or my brother.
Except...he painted it the wrong colour.

I remember that initial enthusiasm and energy when I first moved in to my current place... painted all the rooms, dismantled artex arches, constructed a whole partition wall, including a doorway, all by myself. That was the first 6 months. It's taken me another 7 1/2 years and the coving in my study still has the pins in the wall to hold it up while it dries...
My mother is visiting me this weekend, which means I need to tidy up and clean and that means finishing the flooring into the understairs cupboard so I can shove all the junk in there. Sigh.
Plus, I have had a recurring headache the last few evenings... ever since I overdid the beers in Munich at New Years

It's only been a month since you left? I call BS, it feels like it's been years. Come back. I miss you.

Dear school staff,
Goodness me, how was I to ever know that helping a faced suitemate means that I, myself, was faced. I am ever so glad that you mailed me a notice informing me as such. Why, I didn't even know I was in the building you said I was in that night! Or drinking at said place! Here I just thought I was in the middle of a Lusternian revolt, which was interrupted when security dragged in my drunk suitemate and I had to take care of her, with my other suitemate, as she vomited over a trashcan and sobbed for several hours.
My roommate came in around this time, and helped us hold up her now-unconscious body so that she could lie down properly. We then kept vigil over her all night and helped her when she resumed her vomiting. Somehow, my roommate and I are now accused of drinking ourselves. Despite her being offcampus during the time you cited? And therefore unable to be in the place you claimed? It is also horribly amusing to me that the drunk person's roommate did not get a citation. She didn't drink, but she was at the party you mentioned in my notice. And she lives with the girl who drank. And did everything "damning" that I and my roommate did.
I also appreciate the fact that the guy the aforementioned drunk person was drinking with did not get a citation. I do love being a scapegoat. It is ing pleasant.
I will attend your hearing, and I will inform you of what really happened that night. I'm a bit disappointed that I know more than you.
Sincerely,
Me

Ah damn. I left my power adapter at the office. Therefore I will be largely MIA this weekend, because I will otherwise have to be on NEXUS. Was planning some fun stuff too =(

Make sure that you gather as much evidence as you possibly can before the hearing. University judicial systems are notoriously biased in favor of the institution.

and here I thought that in the USA the burden of evidence was on the prosecution not the accused.

Campus doesn't necessarily equal the general idea of justice in the country, sadly. Some bad stuff goes on in universities.

You march right back to that office and pick up that power adapter young man. I refused to switch shifts with my coworker so I could do Nihmriel's play this afternoon.

I am sick. The worst kind of sick. I have a cold.
Normally when I get sick I'm just like 'Oh, I'm ill, can't really concentrate, guess I'll sleep a bit'.
But colds are the bane of my existance, my left eye is constantly leaking and I keep on having the long drawn out 'Oh, I'm gonna sneeze... gonna sneeze... Nope, it's gone'.
I would much rather lose a foot than have a cold.
Also, it might actually be the flu seeing as my brothers got that, and if it isn't I might soon catch that to go with this. Happy days.
