I'm from SoCal, so no.

Hey. All of you.

I go to a high school. A public high school.. If you want to talk overpriced and low quality, I can get you a hamburger made of grade E meat with a 25% chance of having chunks of bone and...unsavory things...in it that's been under a heat lamp for 4 hours, on a crushed, stale bun that tastes like cardboard and toenails.

And it'll only cost you two dollars. Sides and drinks are extra.

Mmm. Sounds like my school's lunch, which is a pity because until recently our contract company had really awesome stuff. On the other hand, they use Old Bay on the french fries, which actually isn't bad as long as they don't overdo it.

That's what ours is like. However, if you walk past that overpriced hamburger, you will find yourself in a forest of handmade delicious sandwiches, a sea of fruit juice and other such drinks, mountains of cookies and pastries, and nice warm sunny beach of hot foods.

My high school had the "Spartan Burger." God only knows what was in it. The only things I ever ate from that cafeteria were the chicken nuggets and pizza.
Unknown2011-02-11 07:24:28
High school I never ate lunch at...well..most of the time, other times I usually ate some of my friend's salad. Middle school though....I loved their spaghetti....and the pumpkin pie. Oh...school lunch at middle school was pretty damn good..most of it at least.

Ahem, don't mind me. I'm just Chesapeake Bay-area representing, here.

Lying in bed staring at ceiling for two hours while trying to sleep = frustrating.

However, like a trooper, I will be going to school today. If only for the fact that we get free breakfast this morning. >.>

We don't have a cafeteria. We have a store called 'Dollar General', one called 'Corner Market', and the grungiest of Chinese restraunts, 'Super Taste'. Kids go to Super Taste if they want to get sick and be thrown home early.
Razenth2011-02-11 19:46:12
We have eight(!) full sized cafeterias, a food court with Burger King, Santorini, Subway, Round Table, and others, and assorted restaurants scattered around campus, including a Thai place, a pub, and various little coffee shops.

I had that happen to me last night too. I got a double shot of expresso in my coffee to compensate this morning though.

Oh my god I know right. (Though he did seem very slightly human in this past episode. Until he didn't.)

I hope the writers aren't trying to redeem his character and turn him into a 'good guy' by the end of the season or something. Every story needs an antagonist and he's a good one. Though, I am enjoying him having actual dimensions instead of it just being more, "RAWR, Jocks are mean!"

Work just called me! I was supposed to start Wednesday, and I am all ready to start Wednesday, and they're like "yeah ok you're actually going to come in tomorrow morning instead."

Nooo this is a special weekend. sad.gif

EDIT: And when they ask you, "Is there anything we should be aware of that might cause you to be unable to do well in a work environment", is it wrong to say "no" when you're actually thinking a whole list of things that can and has caused you to leave a job (your only job to date) after a month before? I really don't want to :censor: this one up, but every time I'm honest about my problems, I can't get a job at all, because I'm a liability. I guess I just want a chance.

I hate to say it, but unless it's something they are legally forbidden from discriminating against, and/or legally obligated to accomodate, and you have the time and money to make them do so, I'd stick with "No".
