My computer has been randomly locking up all night, although it seems to have subsided for now. Problems that randomly begin for no apparent reason drive me nuts.

This is typically indicative of overheating... may wanna check your CPU temp.

One of the residents of my home has opened nyan.cat and locked their computer. I knew memebombing them would only end poorly for me, but I had to try dry.gif

I'd say that's more of a rave.

You've grown very pale and should go outside.

It's been off for six hours, screen goes green when I boot up. I'm beginning to think I may have lost a graphics card. Lemme pull one out and see if anything changes.

So, yesterday I decided to upgrade to Ubuntu 11.04 to see if it would stop my laptop from randomly freezing.

It froze in the middle of the up- OH GOD I THOUGHT IT JUST FROZE AGAIN. THIS IS REAL TIME PANIC, PEOPLE. Okay. Anyways, it froze in the middle of the upgrade, rendering my harddrive toast once again. For the next... eight hours or so I struggled my way through making a network boot of Windows for this dear old fail of a laptop. No such luck. (Essentially because I was overtired and couldn't get the IP addresses and stuff set up because I'm a computer nub when it comes to servers.) So now I'm finishing the upgrade to Ubuntu 10.10 again so I can install the latest version of Mudlet. This sucks. Luckily, it hasn't shut itself off randomly, nor frozen since then. Could have just been a bad install of Ubuntu the first time.

I wish I could go back to Windows. ;_; But my laptop's just like "Nope. no WIndows for you." At least not using the traditional methods...

And now my laptop freezes in the middle of installing Mudlet, and it corrupted the Software Center. :| If I could go back to Windows, I so would.

Clearly you should go get a Mac.

(Not that I encourage that sort of thing.)

I don't think I've ever seen you complain about life in this thread.
