I managed to hurt two different nails within a minute on the same shelf. I'm skilled.

Well, I woke up at 5:40 AM today. It's a rant because I was supposed to be to work at 5:00 AM today. Damn alarm clock. I just knew when I woke up that I was late too, without even seeing the clock.

Also, after weeks of waiting for results of my FAFSA application, I logged on to see that I had never hit the SUBMIT button. doh.gif
Stangmar2011-06-23 20:44:40
Update to the last post:
I found out i DID hit the Submit button, but the federal government in their usual pattern of inefficiency and general dumb:censor:y somehow screwed up again. Everytime I hit submit, it takes me back to the portion where it asks me to confirm my changes(this is a corrected FAFSA), and then tells me to hit NEXT to sign and submit the application. When I do that it keeps looping me back to the confirmation page. I'm getting really frustrated. My attempt to contact them and have them resolve the situation on their live chat failed. Overpaid morons...............

We had a staff meeting today in which we discussed at length how the current system for measuring performance is fine and dandy for doctors/nurses, but sucks majorly for our service department and doesn't give an accurate portrayal at all of the work we do. Our service chief was encouraging us to find legal ways to game the system so that the administration would leave him alone about our numbers.

I managed to stub my toes in such a way that both the big and second biggest nails are mangled. Sod's law.

My house is peppered with cell reception dead spots. Next to the fridge. The left side of my computer desk. The upstairs hallway outside of my room. I often forget about these when I'm wandering around and try to send a text. Or sitting at my damn desk and trying to send a text to my sister about dinner.

I hit send, and put the phone down on the desk. I looked at my phone 10 minutes later, only to find that it never went through and I was at 0 bars. Because it was just left enough.

Rant_1: Having your SO break up with you
Rant_2: Having to hear the reason that your SO broke up with you being that she's in love with six other people.
Rant_3: Seeing her set mood messages and such on all the IMs you both have to "In love!", even though you saw it coming.
Rant_4: Not checking in to half of your social network to avoid running into her.

Rant_5: Still being in love with her.

Thanks for the support, both of you. smile.gif
And yeah, six people. She let me know which ones they were, too, in her kindness.

I think it helped when I realized that the woman I loved was not the woman she was. She was actually really, really bad for me. All of my friends hated her because of the way she treated me. Once I was able to see that and accept it, it was easier to let her go.

Yeah, a lot of the time you tend to have Relationship Goggles on while you're actually dating someone, and it blinds you to their flaws. It's only after you've broken up from them and gotten some distance that you can evaluate your relationship objectively - and most of the time, it's pretty self-evident when it wasn't gonna last.
