School is back. I am hating every minute.

Had an outage in the computer power strips due to dust, and I think my monitor fried. So I just had to go drag the gigantic, bulky 800x600 resolution monitor from the garage. My MSN window's default size takes up 2/3 the screen.

This is depressing.

If you're hating school you're doing it wrong. Drop out and pick a subject you enjoy to go back too.

I thought Furien was in high school?
Furien2009-09-15 04:46:27
Yeah. High school. No choice. Reasonably speaking, at least.

To be fair, AP Government is actually one of the best classes I've taken at this school so far. Too bad it's at the end of the day.
Unknown2009-09-15 04:57:18
I had AP Government as my last class of the day for B days (school was on a/b schedule) and personally I preferred it. Even though my teacher had us usually taking -a lot- of notes, I enjoyed having my day end on a good note. And that class was a good note smile.gif

Nooo! I hate when IM programmes make me update, they somehow make the interface incrementally worse every time.

EDIT: *RAGE* The background is censor.gif even more worse (yeah) than the last time it made me update. I'd really appreciate for someone to help me get this censor.gif back to normal.

I also need to let out steam at drunk customers, stupid customers, drunk and stupid customers. Shoplifters, burning myself twice, huge messes and having to stay overtime for 30 minutes to fix up some paperwork that was messed up through no fault of my own.

Oops, should have said. MSN messenger. I woke up this morning to find out it was forcing me to download Hideous Edition and I can't figure out how to get the old one back.

EDIT: Or windows live messenger, I don't even know, they seem the same to me.
Aerotan2009-09-16 03:47:31
http://www.filehippo.com/download_msn_messenger/

seems to have a lot of versions, see if one of those will install without forcing an upgrade.

Failing that, you can also try programs like Trillian or GAIM/Pidgen
Shiri2009-09-16 04:39:51
The whole issue was the horrible interface, that wouldn't help anything.

Managed to get some hax that cause it to run, but now it's making me add my whole contact list again. So yeah, if you guys get a weird add request that's probably me.

EDIT: crying.gif crying.gif crying.gif Now it won't sign in. SOS. SOS.

Heh. They're not as bad as the guy who threathened me because I wouldn't let him treat the store as an ATM. (We've got a policy that you only get to withdraw money if you buy something).

At least most customers are nice, but there are some you just can't take seriously.

Also, making hamburgers take WAY too long.

My son has an ear infection, is running fevers of 102f, causing me to get no sleep and then making me grouchy and irritable and I'd like to just punch a hole in the wall right now...good thing it's not.wood or concrete

Also, me being sick with an upper respiratory infection. Two things at once is driving me crazy. My mother's out of town, so I'm not getting ANY rest at all.

Life gave me lemons, I want apple juice and by the gods, I'm just not getting it.

Well if it's any consolation, in about 15-16 years you'll end up with a sun like me that turns into a huge grouch, but takes care of himself when he's sick.

Although I'm a grouch normally...
Knorrith2009-09-18 14:35:35
Poor Cellie. Hope you and your son feel better. Ear infections are such a pain and it seems like the little ones always get them. My mom always made us homemade chicken noodle soup and she always made us drink lots of fluids and lay down. I used to protest cause I was sick a lot and she'd say "it's a whole lot better than the crap my grandmother made me do."
Apparently Great grandmuma was a Cherokee medicine woman and used her own remedies on my poor mother.

Anyway, again start feeling better and when your mother comes back treat yourself to a day at the spa. Or at least get a massage if you're strapped for time and cash. So worth it. content.gif

As far as my dissatisfaction goes, I was informed that while I don't currently have that evil C-word that can also be an astrological sign I could very easily develop it so I have to have another battery of test in a few short months and will be monitored by the evil man in the white coat.

You know what I miss?

Those doctor checkups as a kid where they'd stick that thing in my ear to...I don't know what they were doing, honestly, but having it in my ear was oddly comfortable and relaxing.

That is incredibly weird.
Kiradawea2009-09-18 22:08:54
No U!

I have to agree with Furien. Those things were comfy, well until the point my brother bust my eardrum by "helping me" jam a cotton stick into my ear. Since then I've been paranoid about anything in my ear.

As for infections in the ear, I've found scarves to be plenty helpful. Keep your nostrils clean and your neck warm and your ears should improve too.
