You do what's best for you. There are few things harder than letting go.
Thank you!

Feel sick. Headache. Slept for 18 hours straight and kind of wish I hadn't woken up. Bleh.
Totally know the feeling. Having some chicken noodle usually helps me atleast feel a little better.

This is the first 4th of July that I haven't heard fireworks going off for a 2 weeks prior. Just further points out that I am a long way from home, and that when the sun comes up... I have no one down here to celebrate with. I need to find something to do today.

I'm hungry as all get out, so I put some rice on. I realize an hour later that I never heard it finish, so I confusedly go over to check on it...to find that someone had unplugged the rice cooker, so it hadn't even been going. Urggh.

I don't usually care about my face, but having wounds left by zits are annoying and uncomfortable. I have a tendency to wage a battle with them so they usually get worse.
The absolute best thing you can do for your skin is not touch it! And if you do get a pimple, use a warm compress (like a warm rag, or a black tea tea bag that's sat in some hot water) to loosen it up and gently 'rub' away (may require about 20 minutes of being compressed) - never try to squeeze, because all you do is force the infected pus deeper into your skin, and then it takes longer to heal, o top of massive irritation to the skin (which you are breaking, which is why scabs and stuff form). Also Neutrogena makes a really good spot remover and a facial cleanse. Olay makes a good facial wipe. I used those three combos for ages and eventually dropped the spot remover all together. Just got to get out of the habit of touching your skin or messing with it!

Theoretically, I know I shouldn't be waging a one-sided physical battle with it wherein I know I'll end up as the loser..but realistically, I am just too lazy and uncaring to even bother. I don't know whether to be thankful that I'm finally starting to care. Being moody and careless isn't a good combo - I snag one by accident, pop it, and then I just pick at it because it annoys me. I used to have this local acne soap which kept most of the pimples away but oddly, I've been stalking the shop branches everywhere for a month now and they've yet to have the bar version available again. I've been traveling a lot lately because I decided to stay at home instead of the place I'm staying in near my school. So, I decided to buy a toner..I'm not sure which one to pick so I got the Nivea one and just use regular soap for daily facial washing. Olay just recently popped into our market and I don't know which of their products will actually be a good buy.

My husband had that same problem. Wouldn't think about it but would start picking at his skin and he'd break out horribly, and then he'd just keep picking until scabs form (when a scab forms it means you have definitely ruptured your skin - and scabs will form scars). At first when I'd catch him at it I would say, "Stop that!" but he wouldn't listen/know what I was talking about and I'd have to walk over and literally take his hand away from his skin. After awhile it became less of a habit to do out of boredom and he'd do other annoying things. But his skin cleared right up as soon as he stopped picking it.
Another trick that worked was tea tree oil. Some people cannot stand the smell of it... slather it on your skin and if you pick at all you'll smell it, and it'll sting (but it does a good job drying out your skin in the mean time). A little bottle of it lasts for ages. 1/2 water 1/2 tea tree oil, dab it on with a q-tip.
For products and such it's all about trying it out. You want to find something that dries your skin out but doesn't make it flake. I used a cleanser for ages and all it did was dry my skin out and irritate it and cause more breakouts... I switched to Neutrogena. It's very gentle stuff, but it works really well. I can wash my face three times a day when I need to and it won't dry my skin out.
Olay facial wipes are also a godsend for taking off makeup, and do a really good job keeping your skin soft. My mom uses vaseline to remove makeup, so when I started wearing makeup (at 14), I'd use vaseline to remove it... and wow, that was a bad idea. Vaseline clogs the pores all right. http://www.realbeauty.com/cm/realbeauty/im...als-Expr-de.jpg <-- that is what I use now. And sometimes if I feel a little gross in the face but don't want to wash it I can just wipe my face down with one. It's also really gentle, no harsh scrubbing involved.
The neutrogena face wash I use is called Acne Stress Control. From what I understand it's fairly new, I think I have been using it about 2 or 3 years now, possibly less. It's very gentle, and when used with the olay facial wipes, there's no irritation at all with your skin. http://resources.shopstyle.com/sim/01/6e/0...rcream-wash.jpg
I only linked what the bottles look like but if you can't find them at a store near you you can likely order online from an Ulta or something. Those are just my suggestions. I tried that expensive :censor: that smells like black licorice and nothing really worked, then a friend showed me the olay facial wipes and I gave the face wash a try and it worked, so I stick with it.

The ones where it's just a bunch of nonsense and they tag you as like, GREATEST HANDS or something weird like that are the worst. But I always feel like it would be a dick move to un-tag myself, so now my facebook photo albums are filled with nonsense.

Info about cleansers.
Thaaank you. I've been sticking with what I know but it hasn't been working the best for me.
Also, not being able to get Mudlet and m&m installed on Windows. Can I just keep Ubuntu?

I un-tag myself in most pics of me, even if I'm actually in it. Not a big picture person.

Especially if it has even a remote possibility of getting me in trouble.

See, I have an issue with people who steal my camera, take a whole bunch of pictures, demand I put them up, so I do, and then demand I take them down.
Stangmar2011-07-05 00:24:12
Yeah, the pictures I get tagged in are generally pictures of my friends of the female variety posing in scanty clothing with other people of the female variety in scanty clothing, thus making my family and friends think i'm much more promiscuous than I really am....
Jack2011-07-05 00:50:12
The pictures I'm usually tagged in feature me wasted and pulling ridiculous faces. I never seem to be smiling thoughtfully or penning articulate treatises.

Man. I was wondering why I never use my laptop, and was forcefully reminded by it shutting down after an hour. Right. Crappy battery.
Stangmar2011-07-06 17:39:20
Well, I either mentioned here or in the Raves thread that i was through with another hoop in the Dixie State College bureaucratic red tape and that I hoped I was through. Well, my hopes were shot down. They want another set of tax info. Bastards.

I would love to be home alone all day, as long as there's enough food and water. I could have my music as loud as I wanted, nobody bothering me. The only time I'd probably get the house to myself is during the school year, and only for a few hours, or if everyone else goes out.
