After watching this video (http://www.gnomeparty.com/flash/?file=glorious_interstate.swf) which is awesome, I really want to buy Minecraft. Except I can't. sad.gif Alas.

It's definitely a worthwhile investment! On a builder server, I once claimed an entire snowy "province" and started a village and built a huuuuuge castle and called myself the Baroness. 8D So much fun!

... Even though I'm pretty sure my server-mates thought I was insane. But I was a mod, so they just had to deal. Muahaha.

Should've called yourself the Lady of Winterfell.

I so would have, except that was before Game of Thrones came on TV and I didn't know about the books. Instead, I was the made-up daughter of the badguy from Amnesia: The Dark Descent. I made this huge creepy underground dungeon, bloody walls, flooded basement, etc... even a pretty near exact replica of the wine cellar area, and the weird baby-head centipede fountain from one part of the game. I was a li'l bit obsessed.

'Course if you haven't played Amnesia -- which is the scariest game in the world, ask anyone -- you'll have no idea what I'm talking about... so there's another game to try!

I doubt that. The scariest game is anything with multiplayer on Xbox live because you get to hear how smart the future is.

My left foot and ankle is swollen. I have no idea why. I guess it's bad, just looking at it its obviously swollen, but that's it. No discolouration, and no pain, so...i have no idea why it's swollen. I guess I should see a doctor about it, but I'm annoyed at the thought of him going no no, it's ok! And then me going home to stare at it more.

Could be pregnant.

Edit: Meant for Shulamit.
Shulamit2011-07-18 21:03:44
I'm not. This was discussed, and unless I'm the next carrier for the christ/antichrist, I'm not pregnant.

I think I can arrange the latter. content.gif

Ugh, stayed an hour late at work tonight because the afore mentioned new girl showed up more than 30 minutes late, so i wasn't able to start doing my side work while she watched the register until 2:30. Then she kept taking smoke breaks so I had to watch her register instead of doing my side work(and there was a lot to be done). Then while I was about 45 minutes from time to leave, and almost getting done with side work so that I could do my closing chores, she needed another break to take a quick smoke, AND TOOK 45 MINUTES. Now, I'm already used to getting all the work pushed onto me, because I'm the only one who doesn't smoke, but that's rediculous. a 45 minute smoke break. It's not like it was a stressful day for her or anything. She came back in when it was time for me to clock out, but i still had to finish stocking everything, cleaning bathrooms, filling ice machines, and taking out all the trash, plus count my drawer, which ended up with me clocking out at 6:15 instead of 5:00. I'm tired. The next time she does this, i'm just leaving, and then she'll have reason to be stressed. And if my boss gives me crap for leaving without my chores being done, i'll give him the finger.

Awful stuff.

This sounds a lot like my previous kennel job. I totally feel your pain.
Seraku2011-07-19 01:40:01
Sounds like you should sabotage her.
Ileein2011-07-19 02:27:47
I find it darkly amusing that Daraius had a job in a kennel.

I liked when we had the statue of Daraius outside of the Hallifax kennel. suspicious.gif

This is when I'd start charting her break times and have her disciplined. I get yelled at if I look at my phone when it vibrates (5 seconds at a time), but the smokers can run out every half hour (10 minutes at a time) for a break.

I remember when I worked at Wendy's in high school. I didn't ask for much, but my one request was to have sunday's off for religious reasons. None of my coworkers objected to this. My boss agreed to this when she hired me. Eventually, she changed her mind, saying 'Well, I have everybody else working sunday, so it's not fair that you don't, so you're going to work every sunday morning' I replied that she also let everybody else(once again, i was the only non-smoker) take smoking breaks every 30 minutes, but I didn't get even a single break for lunch(usually working 10 hour shifts). She got pissy, and I just called her a censor.gif and quit.

ARGH. Two weeks ago, I bought new lenses for my glasses, since my eyes have gotten worse. They were suppose to come in several days ago. They came in only today. Fine. We go to get the lenses ground and stuff to fit the frames. We wait. Half an hour later, they go, erm, they were ground wrong, we have to re-order them. OY. Annoying. I'm still stuck with my old not very useful glasses, and have to wait another two weeks for lenses again. Sigh.
