It appears that Microsoft Access files are not compatible with LibreOffice base. That means I can't do my CIS 2010 homework on my laptop, but have to use the computer labs on campus to do it. No more 2 am number crunching sessions..............................

You guys in the United States are being ripped off. We have 'International Edition', which is exactly the same as the US Edition, just cheaper.

Let me quote what practically all my textbooks say:
QUOTE
This is a special edition of an established title widely used by colleges and universities throughout the world. Publisher published this exclusive edition for the benefit of students outside of United States and Canada. If you purchased this book within the United States or Canada you should be aware that it has been imported without the approval of the publisher or author.

And it's exactly the same, because the textbook is still practically filled with US examples/case studies/references/etc.

Got burgled. That qualifies for general dissatisfaction.
Not much taken but cleaning up and changing locks is so much hassle. sad.gif

Today started out wonderful. Then lunch hit and it went downhill from there. My programs at work wouldn't load so I fought with them for an hour and a half, then I was late on the bus to see the new place, and then I got home to discover my paypal had been hacked. (though much <3 to the PayPal for starting to fix it very quickly!)

Meh, at least I found a place to rent.

The Judge is a pretty strong gun. It kicks fairly decent and takes some getting used to. In a shotgun of course, a .410 shell is ridiculously weak. I've only had a few chances to shoot it though since we got it. It's not the most accurate gun, so I wouldn't use it except in very close range. For concealed carry, there are better guns, but for style and short range stopping power, The Judge deals out it's own kind of justice.

Exotics. What's the point in putting a shotgun shell into a revolver when a .357 would do the job just as well?

Being an adult and making tough decisions. I feel kinda bad about what I chose, but at the same time, everything went better than expected. It evens out more to a neutral thing than a negative thing, but I'm still kind of sad.

Vague post because while I wanted to say something about it, it's also not something I feel comfortable broadcasting, and I don't really have anyone around at the moment I can have ~feelings talks~ with. So you get my weirdness.

I see how it is. Isn't that why you have moirails?

You do raise a good point. Although one could ask why produce more than one type of high-power round when a .357 would pretty much kill anybody you shoot. I think it all comes down to personal preference/style. For some people, their choice of firearm is like artwork or expression.....

My current plan is to buy a Taurus Millenium Pro in 9mm. Now, the 9mm isn't a particularly powerful round, but 1-3 well placed rounds in the chest would bring any attackers to a halt. On top of that, the 9mm rounds are about half the price of anything else, and really easy to get. Ammunition has been pretty hard to get ever since November 2008. It was flying off the shelf faster than you could stock it. Now it's reasonably easy to obtain, so getting regular target practice in would be feasible. I do thoroughly enjoy target shooting, although I rarely have the chance to do it anymore.

But anyways, back to rants.......
Buying my textbooks on eBay has saved me a good chunk of $$, but the time it takes for them to arrive is killing me in class........

I have an idea. Get something that looks really valuable and rig it so that when someone pulls on it, it releases poison gas.
