My laptop is running at temperatures that exceed 200 F.

Hot Damn is the proper term.

I can pretty much assure you that your temperature sensor is malfunctioning or isn't docked right. Your BIOS should have a way to reset the temperature readings. For a Dell laptop, it's Fn + Z. If it's a different make, you'll have to look up how to do it. If that doesn't work, it needs to go in. Just because the temperature reading you're getting is wrong doesn't mean it's not really hot. CPU temperature sensors tend to be mounted by the heat sink, so if it's not attached properly anymore, you've got a problem anyways.

Actually, it's an Alienware...which I suppose it technically a Dell, but mleh. The point is, I have a GeForce and 2 Cores being vented by 2 fans, in a computer that's an inch thick. It doesn't work. I have to stick ice-packs on my PC or it'll shut down to protect the chip-set from melting. If I'm not careful, it will quite literally burn my leg.

If you let it burn your leg, you can probably sue for damages.
Unknown2009-10-14 08:23:10
And also save yourself a few thousand on that vasectomy! Multitasking, yay!

Some things should never, ever see the light of day. These guys aren't cross-dressers. This is a designer's legitimate attempt at mens fashion.

Nope. It technically warns me not to use my laptop(Haha!) on my lap.

So no, I'm just stuck with an unsupported hunk of high-end, low-design computer parts.
Everiine2009-10-15 00:07:27
See, this is why I have not the slightest respect for the fashion industry.

Speaking of Heat-sink issues! My X-box died on me today! YAY AWESOMENESS OF CRAPPY HARDWARE!

E-74: Hardware issue

MOST LIKELY CAUSE!? THE GPU OVER HEATING BECAUSE THE HEATSINK ISN'T ATTACHED TO IT ANYMORE, WOOO

Or, even better, THE SCALER CHIP IS FRIED BECAUSE OF THE CRAPPY WAY THIS THING IS COOLED...WOOOOOOOO

Quick-time events in videogames.

Just give me a damn cutscene, hitting one button at random every 20 seconds is not entertaining.

I searched my own name in the forums and read some of the threads I posted/was mentioned in from 06, 07, 08...

I MISS ALL OF THOSE PEOPLE!! bye.gif

I'm intrigued. I suppose I could see the outfit on the left, but it would require several of the people I could see it on to do much shaving. Hmmm. The bracelet's actually not bad looking. Ring is a bit much, but the bracelet would be too harsh without it. I like! content.gif I wonder who designed these - and how many paychecks it would cost to afford even the top.

Yes. I'm kidding. shocked.gif

I am confused... why would some guy want to wear his sister's skank miniskirt as a shirt? This is what passes for fashion these days?
Unknown2009-10-16 02:10:23
I just said I'm tired and...wow...I AM tired...I hadn't noticed... I wonder how much I actually do that sort of thing....
