You got the X part right, at least.

Okay okay, fun question. If you could separate Lusternia as you would a high school. Where would you fit in?
I'd be... right where I was in High School.

You know what sorta popular kid that would hang out with different people every day and most people just sorta accepted him? I'm the person who killed him with an axe.

Keep raising Globglob. Half of Serenwilde will just start killing the bards and scholars. They're only sheep, really.

Better dead than Wyrd-y
(From the IC Seren standpoint, at least)

I have a question...
... why are the innocents better dead than "mind-controlled"? (I mean, if Globglob was raised for Seren, that is)

(Alas, arguing it IC would be trying to convince my enemies to do something that benefits them and harms myself, and thus cannot be done.)
However, they raised a point here, which is that it's better to kill the bards and scholars than it is to raise Globglob themselves. It's kind of mind-boggling to me!
Xavius2010-01-12 02:49:55
Clearly, Serens have no IC morals. However, calling them out on that tends to make characters OOCly upset. (Remember some of the drama from the Glom-Seren events, where Serens were forced to think that maybe they weren't doing everything pristinely? Yeah.)

The Bards are basically servants of the wyrd. We kill based on loyalty. If they're loyal to the Wyrd , they'll die.
That said, it is the Tainted Broadcasting Centre. Serenwilde can't do it because of that first word there... So, yes, it is better to kill the scholars and paranoid the bards, because we can't do the TBC quest.
EDIT: Edited for the current political situation.
Razenth2010-01-12 02:57:28
We need a Radio Free Taint quest. Then you can do that quest.

Freshman, pimply face and all.
You know, when sophomore year looks so grand, but I know when I'm a senior I'll be like "hmmm, that was sad"

There actually is no taint involved at all in the TBC quest except that Globglob happens to be tainted; so, essentially, it's the exact same as relying on Magnagorans to come defend you. It's only in the name.

And unfortunately, that name prevents 2 of six orgs from doing the quest. Possibly more, depending on how Hallifax and Gaudiguch go.
So, an event that cleansed the TBC of the T would allow all six orgs to use it.
So, all we need is a new DJ, and a renaming/grand reopening?

As I said, it's no different from relying on Magnagorans to defend your territory.
You know, by unenemying almost all of them for free.
(Actually, I guess it is different; Magnagorans actually use tainted skills. Hm.)

It is, but sadly, there's been a long term trend of friendly relations with Celest that causes Celest values (aka, the goodie-two-shoes effect) to seep in. So there will always be that faction.
Remember the crying and rage when they first got their executioner?
Comparatively, remember Stewartsville revolting because they killed one too many babies to ensure Crow wouldn't be raised?
Uh huh.
