I hope you are not talking of the various denizens in Hallifax. As a Lucidian, which I normally always have royality-level clothes on, beauty enchantment, throne (and trans influence). I have little trouble with them the few times I have tried.

Yeah, but I don't have a throne. Tawdry should make it a lot easier than royalty. I only have the first two influence skills, I guess that's what makes the difference.

Even then, They shouldn't be that hard. They are 'common' (i.e. not named, not guards) denizens. they should be relativity easy to do with 2 begging if you have a vial of bromide with you and a beauty.

I didn't bother with the epic quest of Hallifax - mostly because it sounded frustrating on multiple levels.

I've sat there influencing for a few minutes, they always get willful.

Check yourself for any items that may be increasing your prestige. Get tawdry stuff to lower it further. Netzach will increase your CHA if you have the skill in High Magic (it's not very far in). Dramatics' Vagabond helps too, as does vanilla oil.

Yeah, epic quests are generally about how much mind-numbing stuff you can stand to do in a somewhat short window of time. I assume a future org's epic quest will involve pulling a log laden sled through the snow behind you, while KGB guys follow you in a car.

I think the main problem with Hallifax's quest is that all of the denizens you are supposed to influence have an intimidating demeanor. Kind of annoying when you have to use begging and weakening in order to do it.

I'm a human with only 2 influence attacks. Nothing else. I do it just fine.

I didn't find the influence part that hard once I had an autosipper and two influence attacks.

Granted, I'm a spec Trill with Beauty blessing and Netzach, but still.
