I'm getting really tired of a certain person sending me a tell every time something comes up in their mind and expects me to care. It's especially bad when they have concerns and do nothing about it and expect me to fix it for them. Then they complain about how I'm not caring. Well duh, if you want to be spoonfed everything, go find someone else.

I'm not going to go into this, because my language would get me in trouble. But I will say this.

I had a solution in mind. I needed your permission because it was going to use city funds. You had no right to act like you did. Get over yourself
Tervic2010-01-25 22:15:53
Llamas.
Rika2010-01-25 22:17:03
Protip: Maybe the more (stupid/easily solvable if some effort was put in) issues you come to me with, the less I'm going to care.
Doman2010-01-25 22:19:00
That justifies nothing. It's still your job as City leader to act as a proper channel for things like what I was talking about.
Rika2010-01-25 22:23:05
I told you to "Go do something about it". That was my solution to you and instead of considering it, you just went and had a whine.

quick, take it off twits before the drama sharks smell blood!

Shaddus2010-01-25 22:24:08
Did Doman go through the proper channels and submit the correct paperwork in triplicate?
Kiradawea2010-01-25 22:26:45
Prolly forgot to get five stamps on the second brown paper.

Sometimes... I wonder if I work too hard for friends. ... loti.

Llamas.

Of the drama variety.

Drama llamas!

I hate to say this Rika, but... being a city leader isn't the same as a commune leader. People run to you constantly to ask questions, get input, ask opinions, and get help in general. Live with it. Seriously. It's a part of being a leader.

Er, there really is no difference between them. Or.. any leader for that matter.

...What? How is being a commune leader any different from being a city leader? In fact, if you ever do the history collegium quest in Hallifax, you'll know that you don't actually bring all your issues to the top person. Hallifax is a bureacracy. You bring your concerns to someone else, who will decide if it is worth bringing up to another person etc.

PS: I'm not saying don't bring your concerns to me. I'm saying don't bring every little concern you have to me if you haven't gone out and tried to do something about it first. Maybe once or twice is okay, but when it's everything, I'm either going to just ignore you or tell you to go and try it yourself.

tell rika ((re-twits: When they ask you for help, determine whether or not they have properly completed "Assistance Request form 105-b". Provided they have completed said form and received a reciept for such, they are approved to request form 86f, under the Citizenry Welfare Imrpovement initiative. If they meet the requirements for said initiative, they will then be put in the appropriate place on the schedule of initative compliance, as selected based on criteria including but not limited to ability, time of application, resources available, and communal gain*. When the scheduled time has occured, they should contact their appropriate member of government for assistance. *-see index 55c))

Seriously!

Because it makes me sound serious and not like the troll I am.

If you walk Doman through the quest by hand, next time someone does it you can delegate authority and have him do it.
Doman2010-01-25 22:41:24
That's a bit excessive anyway, I shouldn't have asked to have the quest handed to me, but that doesn't change the issue at hand

Abloobloo, I'm the leader of an org and people keep making demands of me, don't they understand I just wanted to make everyone scrape and bow and treat me like royalty?

You aren't helping.

Any organization's first generation of leaders is going to be lackluster (remember early Serenwilde? Nikua? Teehee). In a few IC years, they'll either have hardened up and learned how to get things done or they'll be replaced by somebody who gives a damn, depending on how spectacular their early failures are.
Daereth2010-01-25 22:57:50
The bureacracy thing might work better if there was actually someone else to bring it to. The point is mute further since Doman is actually the person who might be said person.. So someone needs to file in all these other people we should go to for problems..
Doman2010-01-25 22:59:19
No, the only other person I could go to would be Saaga, and she's almost never here.
