I think you guys are overestimating the difficulty of empathing, as well as the costs of a ship explosion.

There isn't any difficulty to empathing.

And I killed Cantor security with straight minor second, while he was munching earwort, while he was throwing the full might (lol) of trans Starhymn at me. Some wins and losses mean more than others.

Uh, are you talking about Jayden?

Blame the pilot then. D:

We're hunting now! No harm done.

After seeing empaths heal turrets before a hull that is half gone and a command chair with damage, I nolonger believe what I find is easy, is easy to others.

If your modules even need repair, I still say blame the pilot. D:

I have an unhealthy attachment to experience gain. I blame twenty solid years of JRPGs.

Considering creatures do ranged module damage, not the pilot's fault.
Unknown2010-02-04 02:59:29
I've seen Glom go 2+ hours without receiving any module damage. Maybe gargantuans are just idiots.

I have never seen that and I aetherhunt plenty, on gargantuans and dragons. What are you hunting?

I forgot if Gargantuans do it I think they do now (will have to read my aetherlog), but Karibideans certainly do, and so do all creatures that are better hunting then Gargantuans like elementals, starbeasts, etc.

Karibideans don't.

Neither do dragons.

Or elementals.

Or, well, any of them (though I haven't played with the cosmic mobs, I guess, I know god-realm-ones don't).

However, if you let them in the room with you you will get module damage.

Elementals do, Karbs do. I am not saying it is frequent but it does happen. Anyway any empath should be able to deal with it either way.

PS. We want a 3rd demigod for crit chaining!
Razenth2010-02-04 03:17:21
No it doesn't happen. Ever.

Okay, no they don't, and demigod has nothing to do with aethercrits. Your level in aethercraft does.

I'm pretty sure that you're just having issues with letting the mobs hit you. :/

I have taken the most lazy job on the ship so i have all the time to scroll back to check.
Razenth2010-02-04 03:20:39
Yeah, I bet you got the attacks confused, or the pilot lagged for a split second and the beast came in and procced its melee attack before you got away. It happens.
