I won't see the Ascension event at all, nor will I get to go have V-day fun. Instead, as the most junior manager, I get to try and hold together a grocery store. On a Sunday (inherently busy). On a day where union seniority rules have all the older workers getting finished early or taking it off. So I've got a store full of "its not fair that I have to work on Valentines day" people... assuming of course they even bother to show up to work.

So whether you are a bitter American who wants to greef people in rage, a secluded azn missing Chinese New Year, or are actually attending to the acts involved with either holiday, at least you aren't at work.

Unless you're Charune/Sior or the other admin. Then you're probably working.

In the real world, wax has been for thousands of years one of the most common and easily-obtained craft materials, derived from a variety of animal, plant, and mineral sources, and used for many applications.

In Lusternia, to make a single candle, you need to be level 80+ and able to survive prowling dangerous tunnels full of aggressive creatures searching for hours for loti spores and then using them in a short but annoying quest. All to make a sconce that lasts at most 25 months and has no actual effect besides decorative.

And since there's wax in that quest, there will probably never be wax anywhere more sane, since depending on how the quest was coded, it might have to be recoded to not work with any other wax added to the world.

Why are we not allowed to use the beeswax in honeycombs anymore?

The wax from that quest has to come in a certain colour. Assuming that works similar to essence and such, any new wax could just be set to some blank colour that is never the required one.

Loads of rooms in the Undervault are described as being made entirely out of wax. How hard is it to chip a nugget off of a wall.

You can get wax that way?!?!?!? I am going to have words with the several people who told me that there was no other way to get wax.
