Ah HA! The solution then, will be to fight inside a pit. Truly, a flawless strategy. It is perfect.

If it drops, it is most certainly not immediate. As my log shows my actions delayed by choke after being choked, while in the pit.

I wasn't trying to start a combat balance rant, really. It pisses me off, but it's group combat.
Esano2010-04-07 06:17:06
To clarify, you can choke someone in a pit, but you are immediately counted as being separated and the choke will begin to fade. This is more noticeable now that the timer has been reduced, whereas formerly you would still be choked for a couple of seconds (long enough for you to be unable to exit the pit and probably be 3/4 dead, then they'd just turn it on again as 3p isn't that costly in those circumstances).
This separation doesn't suffice for anything else, including instakills.
And yes, there has been outcry about pit before - am I the only one who remembers the pitdecap rants?

Nope, I remember them too, but it's curious how long it took for people to jump on that particular band wagon considering the emergence of it actually being used to a painful form of effectiveness against the other side now too.

So it seems I missed something big after my 12-hour sleep (I was awake for 51 hours, what.) Omnomnom.
Anyway, tweet: I thoroughly enjoy picking out furniture for my manse. Also, we need more artisans please.

I have a feeling the reason for a lack of artisans is twofold:
1.) The trans power is a long-range teleport, which is quite possibly the only trans trade power that won't help you in combat unless you're fleeing (and you could use other methods of escape instead).
2.) Building furniture isn't the most glamorous or fantasy-ish profession in the world.
But anyway... Lusternia's crafting and housing systems are awesome. One of the reasons (among many) that I still play MUDs and always will — until they die out — is that graphical MMOs no longer bother to even pretend to provide customized housing or in-depth crafting, let alone stuff like custom room descriptions, unique character descriptions, customized clothing and accessories, books you can write in and keep in libraries, and so on and so forth.

They might also have moved you, or been forced to move themselves (by something like treelife, rad or wisp - by and to either side!) and that could let them break the attraction. If you're ever out of the room with them, you can't rely on it still being up.
I even put a footnote in about this stuff and it didn't help. Really, I may suck but I'm not so bad that I can't tell that being moved explains it!

It's not just that, it's also that it won't work on furniture in an aethership flying out, and is more or less beat out in any scenario by demigod ascendtohavens and havens tesseract. It's a crap trans skill all around, combat or otherwise.
Pitted toad stomping makes me imagine people with Mr. Fantastic stretchy legs.

I have to let this out:
You(lag) will now be known as Bad Lag, Anathema to Nai'Dorin by order of Poor Siam.

is it wrong to think Gaudiguch is Lusternia's Las Vegas?
and is it wrong that I was thinking Chaos Magic is something similar to the Chaos blessings in Warhammer Universe?

The day Gaudiguch opened I was commenting on my guild's OOC clan about how what happens in Guadiguch stays in Gaudiguch.

I'm really, really, really, really, really glad the map for Hallifax was changed AFTER I was new. If it had been like the way it is now when I first started, I...don't know if I would have been able to stay in Hallifax. It just got about three times harder to figure out where in the city I am.

It's a good thing they changed it!

I like the whole small map...it was much easier for me to see exactly where I wanted to go (as I memorize locations of things based on the map)
