Lag is, quite possibly, the worst thing ever. Enough so that a toad killed me because a lag spike built up bleeding damage.

Lusternia forums. Useful use of a school's computer lab?

For us it's a tradeoff. Instead of doing all the wonderful variety of things Lusternia offers for us to do, we can either grind to make esteem to keep gravity up when needed without draining Maylea's essence, or we can let ourselves be forced to be part of Nienla's fantasy of being chased. The former is just less unpalatable than the latter! (But we're also hoping Estarra was serious about eventually doing something to limit pointless raids without limiting purposeful ones, so eventually we can look back at the breathtaking diversity of activities Lusternia offers as being actually possible again.)
I would be fine with eliminating "pointless" raids if I had other avenues of conflict to pursue. As it stands, everything has been essentially removed or made far too improbable, near impossible to do. If I had something to sate my interest, I'd stop. As it stands, I really don't have anything besides killing Ladies and chopping trees.
EDIT: But eh, I'll lay off if no one from Seren does anything to Glom.

Hey, really, most of us just show up to kill Lehki and then go on about our lives as usual.
Assuming you're talking about when you came into Faethorn, saw us, and left.
(Killing Lehki isn't a bad thing for Lusternia, btw!)
Edit: That said, I offered you all the option for peace talks ages ago. You all decided it would be more fun to "fight back" instead. I don't know why.
Nienla2010-04-09 00:08:13
Oh!
My twit. For Maylea being nice and teleporting me out of her inner temple yesterday instead of letting her bloodthirsty mob kill me.

Lendren2010-04-09 01:15:27
Boy, are we the farthest thing from a bloodthirsty mob! The last thing we wanted to do was chase you around...
Unknown2010-04-09 01:55:44
And, killing Lehki is hardly the only reason Glom pokes around.

It is by far the greatest.

Our experiences show otherwise.

Your experiences generally involve 1) Sitting around while Lehki goes around poking the hornets, or 2) Forming up a group and going to poke the hornets that way.
(To the above, I've even been told things like, "We were expecting a response, just not where you decided to go." By you, I believe...)
You've got Nienla raiding you, but aside from a large-scale "clear out the Ladies" campaign the other day, Glom has given up on raiding you all. We just clear out the Faethorn expeditions and go on our merry way. And the stop-the-Nienla-offer was made ages past, but y'all decided it was more fun to suicide into Faethorn en masse, heh.
There weren't any large-scale raids while Lehki was gone, were there? At least not during Prime-time times, when I was around.

I like how this point is just entirely ignored.

The way I see it, you have a few options here.
1) Continue to do what you are doing in the hopes that things change;
2) Convince your leaders that Serenwilde really doesn't like being at war with Glomdoring;
3) Complain about the situation on the forums where nothing's going to change.
Honestly, the more you guys complain OOCly when I offered a lifeline before it came to the forums... the harder it is to feel sympathy on an OOC level.
I know where you guys are coming from, I've been there, I bloody offered the option to get a breather and it was thrown in my face. I really don't know why the heck you'd complain about Glomdoring in this situation.
Urazial2010-04-09 02:15:09
Not really. IC peace talks ignored, then OOC whining. Seems Serenwilde gets what they wanted.
Xavius2010-04-09 02:16:01
The fact that Xenthos, near pacifist and anti-griefer deluxe, tells you that the forums won't change it, even when he can read it, is a pretty good sign that option three isn't really an option.

At first, it was a good motivator to get fighters back in Serenwilde.
I wasn't aware that Xenthos was the Minister of Foreign Affairs, either. I always thought that the CLs had to do the real diplomatic stuff.
I have no problems with the occasional raid, scuffle, or what-have-you. It's the attitude and manner in which it's done. Such malice.

Shadow Court: ... , and Xenthos
As for final treaties and stuff the whole Court / Circle would have to be involved, but as for getting things started? No.
Edit: I was pretty clear the whole time through that I was offering talks (not a full-out peace agreement), but from my side a lot of the Court is pretty much fed up with the "stomp the Serenwilde repeatedly" thing we've got going, so it's not an empty offer. Might you have to offer up something? Maybe, who knows, that's the whole point of talks. However, it's another option at least.

See the edit above that I was in the process of typing.
Also; by that logic, the CL also does not a quorum make, so even if Narynth had suggested it you'd be able to "dismiss" it out-of-hand with the exact same point.
As such, I'd call it faulty logic.
Especially as I do have some influence in Glomdoring, as well as a pretty decent grasp of feelings of the general Glomdoring populace.
