I have no sympathy for anyone whining about xp loss after I got disconnected as Titan. Died/vitaed/liched and then 5 minutes later logged in and prayed for salvation losing more than 20%.

Now they so have to do new pictures for the other four, making it more of a commune/city shot like the Hallifax and Guadi, rather than just the nexuses!

Has anyone been a guild leader in a straight run longer than Lendren and I? (Lendren has about a year on me too, I think.)

I'm not whining, though. I'm simply expressing incredulousness at the quantity of experience lost, precisely because of the potential for someone to randomly lose dozens of hours of work because their connection dropped, or because someone else in their squad made a mistake (or themselves got disconnected) in a dangerous area.

This particular situation was purely the result of my own foolish inattention, and it only took about twenty minutes to reclaim the experience.

Didn't he quit and reapply at some point? I might be making that up though, but if so it'd mean he'd beaten me too (but not Lendren.)

I have no idea how long either of you have been in a leadership position, but I have a hunch that it's been longer than I. Are you talking RL year or IC year? I know Everiine has been GM for 30+ IC years, but I think Lendren has waaaay more than that.

RL year - I'm not confident that's how long it was between bards and monks but it seem right to me. I've been GA of my guild since it started, Lendren's been SS GA since it started (I think) and SS has been open longer, and I don't think he took any breaks. You shuffled around between positions a couple times.

Lendren's been SS GA since bards were introduced. Which is... hm. More 100 IG years, since bards were before Aramel was. Which makes him by definition longer-running than Eliron, who is relatively younger.

Crap, I have a long way to go... even with the current GM run and both relatively long GA runs, I don't think I'm near 100 years...

Should follow past IRE precedent and get a statue made of him! Granted, statues here aren't nearly as special.

Not knowing how to fight any more. Going and not even remembering any of my aliases to draw hexes or toss them, thinking I hindered and realizing I was wrong after I choked. Then having them tumble away when I'm at the 400 health mark just barely surviving. Then trying to log it and pressing the wrong button and disconnecting. Things I learned? I no longer have a web enchantment and I need to remake a couple aliases and maybe hit up some duels.

Also those armour drop pretty good gold. If only somebody wasn't camping the guy who I'm told takes their corpses. <,<

Every time I see Eliron's name (which is occasionally a lot, since he's the administrator of my guild), I think of L. Ron Hubbard.

I think I'm going to write a client-side script that just changes his name to read "L. Ron Hubbard" in my MUD output and be done with it.
