Since Glom has felt especially grief-y lately with their gate unravelings, I decided to take the rift into Faethorn from Tolborolla Valley, so I didn't have to bug a Nihilist or Geo.

There was apparently a conflict in Faethorn, so I quickly scuttled through to the Earth Plane, only to have Urazial follow me and try to kill me.

So yeah, you're not the only one.

I avoid Faethorn like the plague on all characters at this point. Lillie and my baby Seren were playing there the other day and Alacardael came up (presumably after us). Lillie said that Alacardael apparently thought we had been there long enough.

Whoa hey hey. If it's a novice I generally just talk/convert to the Dark Side (point Tsumadine).

Hold your horses, Alacardael! I need Tsumadine for a family.

You are welcome to encourage certain Magnagorans not to use the Crystal Meadows rifts as an easy-to-get-to summoning-grounds!

When nice toys are abused, they may be taken away.

If someone wants to get there to summon people, it's not that much further to walk to the Tarean Passages where there are two permanent rifts....

Given the quality of the people who generally do it... it's a pretty good deterrent.

They also don't tend to have water-rings.

There is a bit of a difference between a rift Right Here that I use all the time and, oh, while using it I see a lowbie to try to summon... and going way out of my way to go to the Meadows when I cannot continue on past that point and have to return to Prime.

One happens more than the other.

Glass houses. Throwing stones. Pointing fingers. Vicious cycle. Uh huh.

I'm not even sure what you're aiming for here. Rifts are left up to be 'nice'. Rifts are abused. Rifts go away.

We have here a situation where players do something to make things easier for themselves, and other players let it go (despite it making things slightly more problematic for themselves in cases of allowing people to get up easier for raid-defense, for example).

Then we have certain players in that subset who decide that it's fun to use those resources to go a step further and actually use them for offensive ends.

Then, finally, we have players policing themselves by just removing said resources.

Where's the glass-house, here? I'm not seeing it.
