OMG! I dunno! It looks kind of pricey $53.00. If there are still tickets available after the 15th I might go, cause I'd be able to afford it then.

Noola, you are only as old/young as you act. So you are NOT old .

If that's true, then I'm 15.

Can't check the forums from work anymore. Monday, they put in a dumb web filtering thing.

Yeah, it kills me to not be able to check forums at work. Apparently you're only allowed to waste city money socializing and going home early, not by browing web forums.

They been smart enough to block proxy sites? Our restrictions at school used to be laughably stupid untill one of the I.T teachers just went 'RIGHT! THAT'S IT :censor:ers!' and pulled just stopped everything every, even made it so they logged anything you typed EVER EVER.
Did get a few people expelled because they were apparantly writing racist things, so I suppose there's some good in it, previously to this they had blocked a lot of things on the teachers side but proxies still worked, but teachers didn't know about them, so it hampered teachers but students were fine.

Maybe. It's a pretty high-end, high-cost system. But even if they haven't, it's not worth it. Circumventing the filters is instant firing.

Nah, we made that one when you were gone and never put it in the library. That's our fault, not yours.

Where do you live? Dear god, stuff like that would be illegal back here in Europe. In fact, this statement scares me to the core. Big Brother is watching you.

I'm pretty sure Lawliet is British. At least I remember hearing that at some point.

In 'straya the proxy sites do the rounds of the floor, most of the people use the same one til it gets blocked and then someone finds a new one. It's good practice if the clean feed ever comes into effect, cause then we'll need a proxy to get around the government.

That sort of stuff seems to be encouraged here in the US, sadly. My fiancé was telling me on our trip about how his dad had a program that would log everything that was typed in AIM, so he had no privacy whatsoever, and his dad had pages and pages of AIM chats. I'm so glad my parents didn't do that crap to me. (They still managed to catch me doing stuff I shouldn't.)

Well, as much as I love bashing the U.S.'s lack of cyber-privacy, it's best if we not discuss it (as it pulls dangerously close to the politics and what have you that's all forum-Taboo) overmuch. I will add though, that the computers in discussion are owned by a given organization (the school) and students (generally, always where I am from) must sign acceptable use forms (as must their parents) - which include recognition that your keystrokes are logged and all data traffic through the school's servers is being recorded, and not to use it for 'personal' use such as games, etc. Failure to return them means you cannot use school computers. Similarly, a U.S. court ruled the other day that personal texts sent from company-owned cell phones are not considered 'private' - and the company can view them at their leisure, much as they can with e-mails sent from a company e-mail address.
Of course, Europe has huge internet privacy laws - where internet pirating is even the foundation of a political party in one country (the Pirate Party). So the incomprehension is understandable!

I have spent nearly a half hour searching for one stupid custodian of justice. My hand is turning into some sort of withered claw from moving around constantly on the hunt for this jerk. Where could he possibly be hiding!?

Hiding in the secret custodian control room, sniggering uncontrollably at your misery and frustration. He did it to me, too, so don't feel too bad.

I hate them so much, I am going to tease, mock, and deride him SO HARD once I finally get my hands on him.

They also have cookies. And pie. And always send one there to mock you as you work.
