I'm not flunking people for forgetting Antidote or Earwort either. It's just tiresome, because you're supposed to have it already. So I need to wait ten or so minutes for them to find the last cure before we can proceed. And when I'm already overtime to the point where I should've gone to bed a long time ago, I become irritated.

I am pretty lenient with my exams, too. In fact, a lot of the time I just skip parts of it because I assume that if they came to me, they would know/have it. A lot of that stuff is really for their own good anyway.

I always skipped the "Do you have this herb?" exams with an explanation of if you don't have the herb, you will probably die and learn why you need the herb, so I'm not going to test you but you had better have it if I take you into the arena with me to test your skills. Of course this was always followed by a spar in my case, and pretty much every hex thrown at them throughout the course of the fight with me telling them how to cure everything if necessary, ending with them as a toad and a slight grin on my face as I stomped their little bodies, but I can't remember one person who didn't have all their cures. On a side note I actually sorta miss teaching.

I recall wishing that Researchers would get awesome Lego-themed ents and skills and now I sort of want it. sad.gif

Really bizarre RP happened, enough to really stir Lucan up (which is hard to do). Then I found out I can't be inducted into the Illuminati except by Aiyana or Lekius, so I'm going to be stuck for a while because I don't think they're around very often when I am. sleep.gif

I finally figure out most of an honors quest, only to find I can't complete it because I CAN'T CLIMB TREES. FML.

Dairuchi's is going to be the only honors I ever have, because I r stoopid. banghead.gif

If you have some means of flight you can FLY then LAND TREES, and if it's the Tolborolla quest there's a ladder there that you can USE in order to climb to the treetops.

It's not Tolborolla and, sadly, Loboshigaru Aquamancers cannot fly. sad.gif

What is it with loboshigaru mages? Stoopid is right!

Lock that disdain down, people can play whatever race and class combo they so please, as long as they aren't clichéd about it.

Hrm. Steal the ladder and see if it can be used outside Tolborolla? Else try asking a bard or a commune-dweller.

I should clarify that Daraius is a stoopid lobo mage too. dry.gif

Yeah... that's kind of out of the question. Guess I'm going to have to go beg a Serenwilder or something. Or maybe try stealing that ladder anyway. Hrm.

If I could help, I wood. There are tree problems with that though. One, I'm not playing Lusty for at least a month, it would be a major bough to my credibility if I came back after leafing so quickly(That's the root issue). Two, I can't climb trees. I'm just not limber enough. And finally, Celest and Gaudi are ingrained in a war. Would be an issue for you ashociate with me.

I congratulate you, madam, on your masterful control of the art of the pun. Truly a skill which fir-thurs our collective intellect.

If it's the Kiakodan reserve, there's a ladder there too.

Ask for help with that part. It doesn't take much time, especially if you know where to look.

Coming home on my lunch break to see fleshpot changes and Lovashi at over 1500 petals makes me happy. Yay Admins!

Also we still need an entrecall. /shameless plug

I've never ever failed someone for not having a cure or vial. I just add questions like, "Why would someone need to carry this?" And have them give me different scenarios where they might need it. Mostly cause I miss things in scrolls sometimes myself or drink the last drop of something while hunting while I wait for someone to be free to test me and not realize it. And as annoying as it is to have to stop what you're doing to test someone, it's just as annoying to have to wait around for someone to come test you.

Plus, honestly, everyone who needs them is going to get the supplies they need at some point. If they don't need them, they won't. I've had characters with an entire stock of herbs and vials that just got dusty cause they were never needed but I as forced to spend my limited newbie gold on them. So, to me, the supplies aren't that big a deal. I'm much more strict about the knowledge stuff. If the test taker misses too many of those questions, I'll tell them to go reread the material and call me again.
