No, it doesn't... each apply pulls it down a long ways, any whiff and hit on chest slows you down. You need to know the exact numbers, from what I've seen of it you really didn't have good odds of pulling off a behead anywhere there. There was a small chance, but you need to have 2x the Critical level to have a 50% chance of a behead on a successful head hit (well, probably a bit less, but 16 dex is still not superb!)
There were several hack downs that hit while already in crit.. Anyways, 16 dex is pretty solid for warrior afflictions. Not everyone can be an OP SL faeling with 18 base dex now ya know?

That does help make up for the low strength and harder-to-build-up-woundsness, yes. Slightly.
Still, "several hack downs that hit while already in crit" means nothing due to whiff, hitting chest, possible applying, etc. Unless you want to provide a log. We know you're good for logs.

Wait, are you talking about the period of time after he ran out of health and wasn't applying any more? Since I see a lot of time there where he should have been applying, heh.
Sorry, thought you were talking about the part where he was curing. (My comments based on applying rely on him actually having something to apply with, alas!)

Warrior luck really really sucks. There's nothing in Lusternia more frustrating than having someone in critical head for a long time and not getting the behead proc. Sometimes I wish RP would let me roll on the choke/succumb train so I could just gibb people in a few seconds without any skill. Sometimes. Then I remember working for a kill is more fun, but damn it sucks when behead is being lame.
You'll just have to stick with bringing Stunwhoring to new levels until then I guess.
EDIT: And honestly, I really don't think there's any "work" involved when you have runes and stun at your disposal; I know the same could be said about melds/fae/angels/demons but at the same time we can't hit one maneuver that does the same thing over and over again without fail.
Ixion2009-09-24 03:08:43
You really need trans resilience, and to parry/stance head/legs... take away doubletap for even a moment and I have to start all over again, sadly.

I can get up to 1.5k wounds in a single hit and STILL not get a light wound afflicts. Damn you low dex, damn you.

Stun is the king of affs, hence why AL/BC are the top best knight specs. Execute isn't particularly hard to make so long as you have the stun.
Not to say the other two suck or anything, though.

So any chance we can, y'know, make stun immunity worth something in 1-on-1? I personally don't think it should be a mechanic that helps only in group situations (which is really the only time I can actually see it working properly).
And while I'd love to be trans resilience, I don't have the credits at the moment, secondly, the whole parrying thing is obsolete if I'm stunned, proned and paralysed in one strike, and the strike after that, and after that, and after that - you see how the wheel turns?

He can't stun you if you're proned, y'know. Nor can he stun on every hit since stun immunity is 1.5 times stun length following the original stun. He recovers balance right before you're unstunned. Also, trans discipline would help.

I do love when artied warriors try to act like building wounds on cloth wearers is anything but absurdly easy post trueshield nerf. *sweep leg, hack down, sweep leg, hack down* GOD. SO HARD. LIFE SUCKS.
"Work for kills." That's a good chuckle, Ixi.
My happy twit: Standing toe to toe with an artied warrior with traps in every direction for a solid 20 minutes. Deepheal is pretty awesome. Even better, first said warrior says he was "going easy," now said warrior just had "bad luck." Awwwww.

Celina I'm really not sure why you bother to speak, ever. All you did was failchoke and shieldstun and fly when you got butthurt. You remind me of a sore diablo 2 player.
For that matter, I don't see what the big deal about artied warriors is, particularly from one who has an incredibly easy instakill at their disposal. I can and have afk'd against Vathael/Thoros/ect with no wounds being built.
Damage? The highest damage dealers in the game are certainly not warriors, and actually never have been.

Yes, I'm so butthurt. I can't chase a tracker through pits and after 20 minutes of tanking an artied warrior, I ran out of cures, so I left. My poor aching arse.
You're funny. I enjoyed our fight.
