Wow this is great we got about own punishment system. Wow this will really start cleaning Celest from the sinners and the Law breaking citizens.

lol, if you think this punishment system is going to stop people from being dicks (esp. on throwaway alts), then you don't know what the internet is all about.

But I still think it's a good/fun system to use smile.gif

Start with the huggers.

I like the huggers. That war will never end though. Some people like hyperactive cuddly people, some don't.

So, aside from mobs in Celest not liking you, what precisely does it do? And what happens if the Light turns away from a Celestine or a Paladin?
Konton2009-06-18 21:23:47
This was really cool, I'd love to see a log if what the other orgs would do.

-150,000 exp. which made me bash the rest of the morning to get back to my essence goal/pace, while i was on a teleconference with a client.

It's akin to an-off prime death.

You guys need to use this on some of the really toxic Celestians, like Munsrim
Unknown2009-06-18 23:06:28
Oh, neat a Ladyn. Nerale's on the Pool of Stars. Any Sinenths, Reltines, Merules, or Symfales?
Unknown2009-06-18 23:25:18
I wanna see someone DIE! *acts naughty*
Razenth2009-06-18 23:29:51
Pst! Guess who got that inscription back on the Pool after it disappeared for somewhere else? (shameless self-aggrandizement)

I don't think there has been a time in Glomdoring's history where the leadership have put it more above anything else than the present. If anything, the Glomdoring leaders are rabid about said interest

Regardless, it would be neat to see such a system there.

?

The decision is the presiding city leader's.

Well that's even stupider. I can see it being the current Celestines guild leader, but not the city leader.

Also, I can definetly see this being made into a problem when you consider that it's a tool given to people loyal to a god. Celest already has an issue with people being Eventruines instead of Celestines.

*eyes Narsrim*

There's safeguards in place that, 90% of the time, prevent poor possessing by Admins (though sometimes, since we ARE human, there can be slip-ups).

The Ritual of Petala (Thiodone Ladyn's bit) is able to be enacted by any member of the ruling council.

The Light is a broad ideal - a lot of people find it hard to look past certain aspects. It's certainly hard to balance, at its basest, the love and compassion of Raziela with Methrenton's zealous and fiery nature, or either of those with Japhiel's sense of fairness and justice.

The whole process, I think, is really fun and cool, and as more aspects are polished up and are made known, I think by and large it's the coolest 'execution'-style punishment there is in Lusternia, and I hope Celest enjoys it as much as I do. As time goes on, I think you'll find the punishment itself is pretty cool, as lifting it requires a bit of work and does open the door for roleplay - unlike being hung or wickerman-ned (which I still think is pretty awesome!).

I agree, it's quite nice stuff. But I want to see death by Wicker Man. sad.gif

Glomdoring shall enact the "Death by a Thousand Thorns" punishment on those guilty, and then string their corpse up, or what ever is left, for the crows.

Hmm, interesting. I'd have come to Jozan's defense, to try to prevent him from becoming a scapegoat. Also find it interesting that his grandfather, Doman, spoke against him. This looks like a pretty new RP toy, but I'm not sure what it is beyond that.

Glomdoring needs something like this to make sure the leaders are putting the interests of Glomdoring above anything else smile.gif
