Dugan's makes seven, unless I missed one somewhere.

Mine makes eight: Vote Xavius

I think 13 are required to lynch?
Llandros2009-06-25 18:48:47
Xavius' no lynch vote really kinda threw me but I'm going to stick with Solanis for now.

Same!
Dugan2009-06-25 18:58:23
I will admit, I also find Solanis a good choice. However, in the interest of progression I switched. Curious to see what will come of it, if anything.
Aerotan2009-06-25 19:30:44
I suppose I'll lend my vote to the Xavius pressure-train.

Vote:Xavius

That and I'll just add that it IS day one, but between Myrkr and Bali's randomness and the general aggression in here, we already have a list of suspects, so either the mafia is playing very bad, or it's playing very good.

So, I was playing a rousing game of "What Would X Do?" and decided that Shammy-poo was being very unlike himself. He's laying very, very low. Normally, he can break out a Visaeris-like wall of text anytime he has an insight, and he doesn't resort to flimsy if-then logical fallacies.

Also, he's hinting very strongly at a tie between him and Bali. I think he's hinting intentionally. Shamarah has an excellent grasp of language and how what he types is perceived. It's why his Mafia games are so hilarious. He's also very definitely not a noob. Since he's under no pressure, he can pretty much do whatever he wants, and under normal circumstances there's no benefit to claiming that sort of association. It's like he's holding up a flashing neon sign pointing at Bali. I think he's setting Bali up as a fall guy in case anything happens to him, which would also imply that Bali is town.

You're reading much too hard into this.

I'm unconvinced that Xavius is scum at this point, though. His no lynch vote seemed more like a gesture of frustration than a genuine appeal for a no lynch.
Daganev2009-06-25 20:39:36
Also, in principle, if someone gets a bandwagon that goes from say, 3 to 8 in half an hour... I'm normally certain that such a person is not scum smile.gif

Agreed, you can often get some idea of whether a person is scum from how quickly a D1 bandwagon grows on them and this bandwagon on Xavius has grown entirely too fast.

Hardly means he's innocent

Do you have some piece of information that we don't?
Daganev2009-06-25 21:33:11
Just understood what Bali meant.

So you think Xavius is a SK, Bali?
Kiradawea2009-06-25 21:33:59
In a setup like this, it's likely that there's at least one SKer.
Unknown2009-06-25 21:55:25
What I am saying is just because Xavius was quickly wagoned that does not mean the wagon is illegitimate. The fact that quick wagons are usually scum-based (this wagon in particular) is an assumption, nothing more nothing less. Dont get me wrong. I bet there are alot of scum in this game. Given that the norm should be around 20-25% that means we got like 6ish non-townies. He could be SK, he could be scum, he could be a flying :censor:ing unicorn in this game. Who knows? All I know is he has been acting scummy and should be forced to claim. That is my personal opinion.

When I asked people to vote for Myrkr or Xavius it was basically a get-out-of-jail-free card for those people who did not want to vote for Myrkr. People like simple choices. Getting 13 votes d1 is not an easy thing to do.
Diamondais2009-06-25 22:09:38
How many votes is Xavius at now?

Wait what?

Your random vote was on Xavius?

Something is very wrong here. Normally Shamarah is the first one to jump on somone for voting a no lynch.
Shamarah, you voted for xavius "on principle", then you voted for "aerotan" for the "bali = lurker" comments, then you voted for Xavius again, without much reason after he voted "no lynch"

I had assumed that you were voting Xavius because of his "no lynch" comment, as you normally do. But now you are claiming it was "random"?

What gives?
Shamarah2009-06-26 00:21:09
I was referring to my random vote from the beginning of the game; I actually forgot I switched it back to him.

Anyway does it matter? That vote was more of a gesture that Xavius was trying too hard at attempting to pin suspicion on Balizar. It was before the bandwagon formed on him and I wasn't seriously in favor of his lynch. I could have FoSed him, yes, but nobody pays attention to FoSes.

It matters that it differs from your normal policy of "go after the person who suggests a no lynch"
That you forgot what you did also is a bit bothersome.

But I prefer a focus on Solanis.

Has there ever been a scum with daykill abilities?

I don't know about any of the games here, but I saw on mafiawiki that scum can sometimes have a daykill, often 1 or 2 shot, in an assassins role.
