Ok so, I'm thinking about changing my guild what I would like to know.

1. Can you upgrade wounding and bleeding runes say I bought 1 rune for 100 cr then I got another 500 could I upgrade that rune to level two. I remember hearing that I could along time ago.

2.Whats better the night aura which gives some bonus's to knight stats, Or the afflictions crow gives (Passivly? is it) to bleeding targets.

3 what are good pk and bashing stats for pb weapons

4. basic combat strategy?

You can upgrade wound and stat runes, but there is only one level of bleeding or damage type runes.
Shaddus2009-06-25 19:13:44
So I have to ask. Why pureblade?

BM + Crow is decent from what I hear, as is BC + Night.

Any spec + night is probably good, given the awesomeness of Nightkiss.

You can do well with Pureblade, but it's probably going to be more difficult to master than bonecrusher or axelord...stuns make life easier.

Yeeeesss... one of these days, I'll get around to pestering Viynain IC to make a law giving a 15,000 gold fine plus a disfavour or something for starting to influence guards at the prime nexus when there's multiple (3+) other people there. it's... Darned annoying. Anyways...

You could always go PB + Tracking for pit-decaps, although I hear that new environment skill kinda nerfed that. it'd still be effective against non-omnitranses, though. It'd also make guild-hopping cheaper in the future smile.gif

Firstly I've only ever Afk influenced once because I really had to use the wash room. And after that ordeal I mess'd with my triggers so that It wouldn't like me afk influence.

But that isn't really the point, reasons why I would go pureblade over the others is well two reasons. I can upgrade my runes on the weapon over time without my 2nd weapon getting off center and messed up.

Why not axelord? stun + choke sounds good.

I hadn't really given axelord much thought really. But I think PB has a stun attack too, not sure what it is called though.
Casilu2009-06-26 03:13:04
It does. It's called amputatedlimb.

Ok Krin, this is derived knowledge that people who are good at stuff have told me. And so I write it down.

Bashing stats- 280 speed. Like always. Damage may or may not matter, but if the weapon is only for bashing, can't hurt to put your extra points there, so long as you're willing to pay.

Fighting stats- Get a katana. There is absolutely no reason not to at the moment, as they have lower minimums and can do anything better than any other choice of weapon. Since you're a non demi SL faeling, you're going to want to dump more into precision than some others. Keep the speed higher, however. Something like 66/433/250, or 66/455/240, or 66/411/260. You'd have to play around with it, but with the new forging mechanic, you're far more able to do that.

For tactics, I'm the wrong person to talk to for finer points. However, in general, realize the PBs don't have shortcuts to win like other knight specs, and you're going to have to work to build wounds and get kills. PBs don't have a stun move in the same sense that AL or BC does!

I hear katanas can cut through tank armor.

That only works if the tank is in a pit.

Eh, it's just a silly injoke for my own personal amusement.

Krin, as someone who has spent a lot on artirunes, I'll say this.

It's not going to make the difference you think it is going to make, and it's not going to make the difference people imply it will make on the forums.

Stats outside of speed just aren't going to do much for you.

If you're really set on runing a weapon, start with elemental runes. Those are far and away the most bang for your credit. Sit on that for a while, play with whatever spec you choose. You may end up hating it- and then you'd be stuck with expensive arties on a weapon for a spec you don't like.

Get a speed weapon(s), mess with the stats, and see what you like. Yes, artifact weaponed knights have a reputation, but it is mostly the reputation of a player who happens to have them. The elementals will be more noticeable than anything else, but even that isn't going to give you the edge that the forums often assume.

Akui's sword never gets used as it should. If you listen very closely, you can hear it weep.
