Everyone makes jokes about Shaddus dying all the time, and I'm trying to figure out why I'm so squishy. Seriously, I have alts half my circle who take less damage from things, and I'm not sure why.
All defenses raised. I die CONSTANTLY to things. When the toys attacked earlier, I walked into the room, screen froze for 3 seconds, I was dead. There were mages/druids/wiccans half my might fighting toe to toe with these things. I walked in graced a few times, renounced, and this happens while OTHER PEOPLE ARE FIGHTING THEM. They target me.
What am I doing wrong? Robes are midrange defense, hood is raised, all defenses raised, I'll illithoid with 50% Mythical Resilience. I shouldn't be dying so easily.

Are they doing magic damage? I don't even hunt gorgogs because they do magic damage.

Race? Your magic sucks. What are your robes? Is your hood raised? Do you have KA DEFLECT LEFT (RIGHT) set each time you die? That's trueshield right there for monks, I know a lot of them forget to use it. As monks go, ninjakari have a lot of dmp coming from stealth and chain. I can get Sintor killed pretty easily flying through astral on autowalk or running across 6-7 fishers.
The people you saw hunting toy clots weren't exactly unlucky, either. I tanked 8-10 of them and got pretty hurt a few times.

There may have been. I'm pretty tanky for my level and have gone through quite a bit solo without many problems, but I was shocked when I had to freakin' NUMEN during one of the fights to stay alive. That's generally reserved for when Ilyarin links obesefessors with 4-5 people, and they all hit me at once.

The toy clots were ... unusual. All the toys targetted anyone who walked in, but they didn't retarget when their target died. So, you followed someone in, you could fight them one at a time. But the person who led you in gets ganked.

Could be the values you are using for your auto sipper/sparkle/reader.
I have around 5100 health as well, and I feel like I tank pretty well.
I do have trans magic, though, but not everything does magic damage.

Being one of those alts, I take less damage because I have trans resilience and splendor robes, along with RoA and beast bodyguard. I also use beast heal health, along with a health potions, sparkles, and scroll.

According to that list you don't have Psychometabolism, and Ironskin is one of the best sources for physical DMP you'll find. What psionic defenses are you using?

Yean, thus the Gifted by Psionics. Not sure why Psymet wasn't showing. Bracing, Agility, the whole nine yards. Ironskin, Energycontainment, Psiarmour, Biofeedback Magic/Fire are my norms, the base enchantments.

Wearing a shield lowers mob damage, it just doesn't apply the wound protection of trueshield. There's some "over-all" armor factor considered when fighting mobs that it contributes to. Ka deflect adds to that afaik.
