I understand you weren't there at the end, but I'm wondering about that 12 hour period where he just seemed to ignore the 6 votes on him at all.
I didn't consider 6 out 12 votes to be cause for concern. I'm certain others have said that as well.
Iinteresting Furien.
Furien2009-08-03 02:37:46
6 votes cast on me in, what, ten minutes? A train is a train. I'd certainly call it something to be concerned about!

I was talking about Solanis. For you, it looks like 10 votes are need for a lynch, so 6 votes in ten minutes don't look good.

Rika at least unvoted.
I had work, else I would have been going stop in all-caps and exclamation points.

So... time applies to you, but not others. True, Rika initially unvoted, but then revoted. The revote happened while *I* was not here, and then Arix jumped in with his dual wield. Something none of us could have known he was going to do. Also, re: your not liking my phrase about "I just know", look at my post a few pages back or the one that I think... Zynna posted afterwards. They both explain what I meant by it. I know emotion is hard to convey through text, but sheesh.
I am still mystified why I am on your radar more than others.

That's the problem with that kind of wording. It's too conveniently interpretable.

No offense, but I think you're looking to far into my words. That particular turn of phrase was meant as an offhanded comment, not as a defensible position. Notice how now that Solanis is dead and did turn up town, I haven't been shouting "OH MAN GUYZ, I TOTALLY KNEW WE SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT! SEE HOW I SAID "I JUST KNOW" HE WAS GONNA BE TOWN? LYNCH RIKA FOR REVOTING. LOLZ!!!11!"
No, I'm not. Right now, Rika revoting doesn't put her in my crosshairs. She was trying to get information out of Solanis, who was acting scumming, and not claiming. Also, he was claiming he had a partner (You) who was not talking, so what were we all supposed to think?
What DOES put Rika on my list is that she revoted, which contributed just as much to his lynching, and then afterwards she targeted me citing my voting for Solanis as the reason. That flip of logic is astounding.

I'd say wait for the partner to speak up? There wasn't much given, looking at the timestamps. (Ariiix) Of course I can't blame a single person for that, since it's a game with many participants.
I have nothing against voting Rika. I happened to have a different order of processing suspects. You were first and I was explaining why. Sorry. Unvote, Vote: Rika

I'm not sure if I buy Furien's logic here. If he were roleblocked, I would have thought that it would block BOTH the inducting risk and the pamphlet, and not one but not the other. Even if it were an NPC passing the pamphlets, I seriously doubt anyone can roleblock that. In that case, how can you 100% confirm Xavius is town if your induction didn't go through at all? If I'm understanding your role explanation correctly, it sounds like you'll die if you induct scum - but in this case, you didn't induct anyone at all.
Rika2009-08-03 06:31:29
I revoted for Solanis because he said he would claim and didn't actually do it. After however long he had to claim, I think he had enough. My vote was to actually make him claim as he said he would.

I forgot you were in this game. *eye*
Once again, I said I ASSUMED roleblock. I have no idea what actually happened.
The message I got was that I penned my pamphlet, and 'let down my guard' while going out the door to pass it on to my carrier. And that, despite letting my guard down, no injury came to me. I'm pretty confident that if Xavius was scum I would have died at that point.

1. I'm your pro-town cult that dies if he cults scum.
2. I tried to cult Xavius and, while it failed, I confirmed he is town.
3. Casilu may have evidence of there being no SK.
4. Casilu also learned via a power that there are 5 scum and 3 'others'.
5. Daganev keeps hounding me.
6. Ilyarin can give some daily speeches or something that ends up causing some effect on the game.
7. Sarvasti let slip that she's Yuki Nagato because she's new at Mafia, snerk.

I ASSUMED THE PAMPHLET DID NOT GO THROUGH DUE TO ROLEBLOCK OR SIMILAR MECHANIC
Good lord, this game is full of flavour. If someone actually blocks me, I don't know, maybe they steal my pen and I can't write the pamphlet in the first place? Or maybe it just doesn't make it out the door! I don't know! I'm assuming here, stop pulling this 'you keep changing your story' crap on me.

I agree. If Furien was roleblocked/stopped by Ilyarin's earth protection, then we can't say anything about whether Xavius is town or not. Because even if Furien sent the pamphlet out the door, Xavius didn't receive it. I think death would only happen if Xavius actually received the pamphlet (and was scum).

It's not a constant back-and-forth, you just fail to see how I'm essentially telling the truth every time.
Cop -> finds out information about others -> my power detects scum via my death or confirms their town alliance, maybe I should have said 'investigator' but that's irrelevant now.

Actually you shouldn't have said investigator either, because neither of those accurately describe what you were. I don't think it's helpful for town to lie/mislead -- that's what scum do!

Xavius didn't get a message because the pamphlet never arrived, once again.
I DO KNOW WHO XAVIUS IS PLEASE START READING Xavius is 100% town. Something happened (I THEORIZE A ROLEBLOCK, ONCE AGAIN READ) that caused him to not get inducted, but since I didn't die at night it means Xavius is town.

If the pamphlet didn't arrive, then we don't know one way or the other about Xavius. Your insistence that we do, and not considering other options, is very suspicious.

I also find the back and forth about whether Furien will reveal anything to us confusing.
First, he says that he won't tell us who he inducts -- which puts us at a disadvantage. Because based on what Furien claims, only he would know who the town are -- they wouldn't know each other -- and the flow of information is only one way (him to them), so meaningful conversations are limited.
Then he claims Xavius, saying he knows 100% he's town even though he knows Xavius never received the pamphlet/wasn't inducted.
Then Furien says he won't reveal who he will induct the next night:
But then a few hours later says he can come up with proof the next day:

...
I don't see giving someone free will as secretive. And honestly, I don't want scum to start trailing my inductees to reduce the size of our own informed minority. Really minimizes the use of my power.
