I roleblocked shaddus, There was no mafia kill. So Shaddus (or whoever our other RBer blocked) could be scum.
Perhaps this is actually something that needs to be looked into more. There was not a mafia kill last night and we do have this claim by Ayisdra that she froze Shaddus. (And since Shaddus hasn't posted anything, she probably is telling the truth). Kind of suspicious that during the night no one dies and we have one player who was frozen. Shaddus was also listed late on a vote train (provided by Silferras). We know Daganev was scum, no telling how many other on that list is too ... Dag was fourth, Shaddus's vote was seventh.
Furien: 9 (Zynna, Dugan, Othero, Daganev, Salvation, Llandros, Shaddus, Furien, Diamondais).

The eternal Wind.
Listen to me, fellow people! You all revel in your spontaneity! You should quell your wild impulses and be considerate, and thoughtful! Think not for today, but for the future, and determine what harm your actions shall have on those to come! If all we care for is our daily thrills, what hope have we for peace eternal? Our actions shall foster only harm, if we do not think ahead. Please, study for your exams! Work harder today! You will only make it easier for both your generation and the generations to come.
---
I don't like either Shaddus or Furien at the moment. Where is Furien's cult member? On day one it was said that Furien would have until day three to present solid proof. So far I don't think anything that he's done would classify as that, would it?

I'm guessing the cult member knows they got culted at this point so I'd rather save them in the case of a lynch.

So, what does the wind do?
I also don't like how Dugan (and, to some extent, Salvation) is trying to deflect attention off the actual bandwagoners and onto those who abstained. I'm not trying to 'tilt' information at all; while scum might try to distance themselves from one another, bandwagoning townies and thus persuading other townies to join them 'to move things forward' is a viable and pretty often-used scum tactic. You seem to be missing the point I'm trying to make, that the major trains of the past two days ALL included Daganev (who was scum!), and that we can probably find other scum by focusing on those who voted with him/jumped on same major trains.

Well, I really don't like how you are cherry-picking which voting trains you put up. Your not showing all the votes, you are only showing the ones which validate your side. You say that that the moving things forward is a common scum tactic ... so is not voting and staying off the trains. I notice you don't mention a thing about all those who agreed with Daganev and his comments and those who defended him ...

You're accusing Silferras of "cherry-picking" even though you did the same thing.

How am I cherry-picking if I used just the information that SHE provided? I am not the one who went back and got it, SHE did. SHE did not post the entire voting patterns, SHE just picked out certain ones.

It was a random kill. It just happened to hit a scum and not a town.

I wouldn't say Ayisdra is confirmed, but he does seem more non-scummish. Either rogue or town. I don't know, a random kill power like that just doesn't seem very scummish? Why would scum risk killing one of their own, right? Maybe there's a role I don't know about, though, so could be wrong.

My thoughts exactly. Why risk it? Why even give scum a power to kill one of their own?

Hey, all. Still not feeling great, but I've had enough rest and we can't let this day go on forever.
We cannot clear Ayisdra based on the fact that he killed Dag because it was a random vote and very easily could have killed one of our town power roles instead. Rather, we need to look at his behavior/voting patterns/powers to try and determine if he's town.
Frankly, I don't like that he didn't participate much in the conversation and when pressured, used a killing power without any warning. Then, he froze someone, not just roleblocking them from the night (helpful to town), but froze them from participating during the day (not helpful to town - one less vote and and we can't hear his input/defense).
Though I'm not sure of Shaddus, I don't think it would be right to go after him when he can't defend himself.
I also am still worried about Furien. I know Dag was against him too and was scum, but this is an instance where scum and town are united in that an anti-town cult isn't helpful. I'm worried if we let too many days go by the cult will get too strong. And I really don't like if it's truly a town cult that we're not being given information that helps us. If we know who is town, then we narrow down the suspects of who is not.

You're right, but I can also instead choose to reveal my information prior to a cult member being lynched. This will give us a snapshot of scum pushing for someone's lynch in action, and the fact that I reveal this potential strategy now may make some ordinarily aggressive scum a bit more cautious.

The thing is, if Ayisdra is telling the truth, it's a one-time power. So likely town has a regular roleblocker and it may be whoever that roleblocked blocked that prevented the killing.

If we trusted you, there would be value to that. The problem is whether we can trust you... But, I think maybe we should focus on those who have spoken little at the moment, to get more information, then revisit before any lynch.
Llandros2009-08-10 15:28:44
I was fully supportive of a Furien lynch and think I may have even suggested that he be daykilled. I am starting to belive him however since Dag pretty clearly wanted him dead as well.
Also, i am not in his cult if that's what you were thinking.

Well, scum would want a cult gone, whether it was pro or anti town. But we still want a cult gone if it's anti.

If you really want to confirm me, wouldn't you just have Furien just cult me (or have someone investigate me), last night would probably have been when it would be done after I killed dag.
As for freezing, I didn't know it would completely remove the person from the game.

Daganev wanting Furien dead and turning out to be scum doesn't prove anything at all. Both scum and town want a cult dead. The main thing we have to decide is whether we trust Furien's claims that it's a pro-town cult. It would be nice if we had more information on Ayisdra, since he hasn't been cleared... and a random-kill power could have very easily killed a town (moreso, seeing as how there are more of us). As for the Dugan/Silferras fingerpointing, yes, they are both trying to twist the vote trains for their own purposes. But seeing as how we have only one confirmed scum so far, we don't have much to base our suspicions on beyond looking at who voted when and why.
