But... but... but what if he suicided?
See, apparently "people with mains in forests aren't childish". Apparently people in cities aren't always childish either.

@shaddus: oh yea i remember i used to defend glom all the time from the seren noob squad raids and off they would run to the forums to boohoo about how terrible it was that mag would defend glom because glom only had noobs around.

im not childish i just like to give people a hard time. :/

I'm glad this thread is still alive and well.
edit: Class act, that Narsrim. Just read that little shout. All you had to do was switch to an org that you've been raiding for the past 4 rl years when things stop going your way, just so you could boast a little!

Consider: Raziela was bound unneccesarily for over 30 IG years (an IRL year).
They performed a ritual that not only sucked 25k power out of each nexus (2-3 times) but kept the nexus from using ANY sort of powers, including summoning guards. The forests walk in, kill the guards, and meld the place, which hits anyone even standing at their own nexus.
The forests spend hours standing around killing anyone who decides to step off of their own nexus, and finally gets bored and leaves.

I don't understand this strain of logic either.
Raziela being bound is equal to Faethorn being tainted.
Zemordia is equal to Xion.
??? is equal to 125k power drain.
Apparently the ??? will be answered in the future, as Estarra has hinted. At the moment, however, there is no reason to twist Raziela's binding as 125k power drain. (Just to help make this clearer, 25k power out of each nexus repeatedly meant that Zemordia had to be completed repeatedly. If the 125k was over a period of time where Magnagora/Celest completed Xion repeatedly, you'd have far less complaints.)
FURTHERMORE.
When did forests spend hours camping the Cosmic Plane nexus? This is an honest question, so please answer to the best of your ability.
Also agree with Melville's 'take it easy, yo' stance. I just hate flawgic.

You'll excuse me if I don't have the date marked on my calendar. It was Shuyin, Sidd, Nienla, Talan, Xenthos, and a large amount of other people (probably Desitrus, but I'm not sure) who mowed through our guards. I even went up under grace to summon guards to run them off, but I got chewed out by the power minister for it because it wasn't doing any good.
Urazial2009-07-30 18:21:57
Xenthos is a griefer. I could easily see him spending hours camping cosmic, yep.
Llandros2009-07-30 18:24:03
Also, keep in mind that the commune counter quest didn't require you to camp cosmic for hours. For one part of the Nif quest we had to bring her 50 bound fae. That took several hours of us being spread out over ethereal with her bracelts hunting and seducing them.

If by 'the Nif quest' you mean Xion, and only Xion, my bad. Otherwise, please read the two statements above.

Xion and the Nifilhema quest are two different things. When we finished Xion we started the Nifilhema quest. We didn't have to but we decided to as it would help us. When Nifilhema started asking for comms and essence that was the start of the Nifilhema quest and the end of the Xion quest.

I'm just saying that in this particular case, we didn't camp faethorn just to grief you.

Exactly. The communes seem to think they are linked and Nifilhema's quest had to be done. It really wasn't required, but hey, who are we to complain about free territory and power.

I'm sorry but in my humble opinion, when Nifilhema asks for something i gets to hopping. That woman wouldn't think twice about cutting a bitch.
Edit: in fact she actually killed me for kicking Maeve's spirit when it was bound in her room.
Anisu2009-07-30 18:44:40
Who wants to start a cult to remove all divine and spirits from lusternia and bring power to the mortal shards. Think of the cookie supply boost once Charune is nolonger around to steal them all.

We didn't -have- to do that. I think it should be remembered. If we really really wanted to we could say no to the Demon Lords. I wouldn't as Othero, it would not fit him in the slightest. But we could of. And Magnagora should known this was happening. I don't think it has hurt Magnagora to do it and I think the communes should wait until the very end to see what sort of impact this all has. If they lost 250k power between the two of them with no chance at gaining it back then I agree, that was a terrible move by the admins and if it happened to any of the orgs we would see them complaining. However, Estarra has hinted that they can gain it back so I think every one should wait and see where this all goes.
And she attacked you because Maeve was loyal to Nil.

Well, we'd still need an admnistration, so the real question is if the admin would tolerate getting demoted from gods to heroes/peasants/whatever.

I am sure there are other rp positions for admins to enjoy themselves, but honoustly a valid anti-divine cult with proper protection against divine powers would be nice (like instead of shrines gnome devices, an anti-order if you will). It just fits with the spirits and divine are to much trouble attitude ingame

Well, I was referring to the large amounts of power returned by purifying the fae. So far, each commune has recouped over 40k power and it's still going up. The initial 125k power drain was meant to be met with shock and awe (which seems to have worked!), insofar as it was the culmination of the trickery of the Demon Lords. Throughout the arc of the entire event, the communes are currently net power.
Apologies if you don't like the event! However, there's no choice but to let it play out. If you think Lusternia is on the "wrong track", might I suggest you volunteer at the next ephemeral call, or encourage others who you think would do a good job to volunteer, to help design and run events the way you think they should be done? It's harder than you think and we can always use good people!
