OMG I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT THE NEW WOLFENSTEIN GAME!!! I grew up on those games, I still remember Wolfenstein 3D, and the Spear of Destiny. Return to Castle Wolfenstein - my first 'online' game I ever played, besides Warcraft 2 via modem, and and and, RtCW: Enemy Territory, a game that helped push class-based FPSers! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Wolftenstein was practically a 2d game though. How do you remain true to such a thing today? I think it should be 2d but they won't do that!

I've actually heard that the graphical effects are too flashy before from other sources too. One of the good things about DotA is they had it just right, it was never hard to tell what was going on. Probably because LoL maintains its verbal NDA. It's not just because it's not a 100% copy.

I've seen a pretty wide variety of reviews and articles about LoL on webpages, forums and youtube, and read some arguments comparing the two (yes I am that excited). The NDA isn't really doing anything. I was hoping to hear your opinion but I guess since you went three years or w/e not playing DotA there isn't anything new you could tell me when it comes to comparing them as you seem to still be amazed by tinker's rockets tongue.gif I lost interest in that character years ago.

A year is hardly three years, actually. Amazed by the rockets is gathered from what, that I was mistaken about a single hero? Ohnoes.

Appears that the vast majority of things on YouTube are all press-released garbage or 1-2 leaks that are already NDA warned and in the process of being shut down, according to the LoL forums. LoL is about as entertaining to me as Demigod was, good for some decent enjoyment but nothing beyond it. As I said before, it's missing several core components from DotA that make HoN the better choice. It plays the WoW game of trying to cater to those who are too low in the gene pool. Who knows, you may love that kind of thing.

Tinker is basically the most fun character in all of DotA. I never get tired of playing him (except when I'm against a Doom but whatever, every hero has its hard counters)

This is correct. The first map, mechanics, and heroes are all ports of DotA Allstars.
