This painting depicts the Heresiarch of the Nihilists, Nariah d'Vanecu, chronicling her harrisome journey across the Bay of Bondero as she undertakes the tasks necessary to seal the Gorgog rift. The Heresiarch is pictured here, standing upon the bow of the canoe as it sails across the bay. She has one foot propped up upon the tip of the canoe, and boldly points forward, standing proudly and aloof from her surroundings, which are modest to say the least. Her fellow passengers sit further back in the boat. The merian mariner is in the back, rowing the boat, The other passengers, a number of portly porcine, roam about the middle of the boat aimlessly, except for one that has taken to chewing upon the hem of the Heresiarch's expensive robes. As a final detail, the pigs appear covered in filth and offal that seems has been depicted here as faintly visible vapors of stench that waft up and past the nose of the Heresiarch. The entire scene is summed up by a single succinict phrase, engraved upon a golden plate upon the bottom of the painting, "Nariah Crossing the Bondero".
