"Sephiroth" (and various misspellings thereof) is one of the archetypal groan-worthy lolmmorpg character names, along with variations of "Drizzt" (Drizzt Do'Urden, a famous Dungeons and Dragons character), "Legolas" (elven archer from Lord of the Rings), and others I don't care to remember.

It's like someone naming their wizard character Gandalf: exasperating, and reflects badly on the person who chose the name.
