Not so! They could enemy someone and then feel good about how sometime in the future they'll most likely be able to wrangle a subjectively small amount of gold out of them for no reason.

Yea, like Rika said. Wouldn't show him 3 times in a row and I wasn't insane.

There has been a bug where when dreamweavers follow you their body follows you too I believe is how it works so he was still asleep when I found him in my fulcrux and to make a long story short I ended up killing him. So no, wasn't astral insanity, just a bug with dreamweavers following.
