Wrong. Think about ethereal. We'd be chopping our own saplings just to meld, only to replant them again. Would be impossible to defend.
why not, mages have to dispell terrain to remeld if someone has to take over. For instance, if I have an area melded (if I were a mage, let's say aquamancer) and I have Celestia melded and terrained. If I have to go and then afterwards you decide to come in and kick an angel, another aquamancer has to dispel my terrain or reality check before they can meld and terrain themselves.
On the other hand.... if Celina melds Faethorn, and Crek takes over her meld, he can meld over the top of the sapling.

I'd love to prime raid a forest if that were made the case. They couldn't meld in any rooms with a tree in it.

Depends on the person's tankiness and the enemy druid's skill. Versus Thoros as a dreamweaver I managed to get him to fire, but then the rest of the 10 minutes of the match consisted of him tumbling out, me hastily extending/unmelding/etc. my demesne and trying to keep him down. He could just tank everything I did to him no problem, but that's not an option in Zynna's case. There's a certain point where afflictions alone are unfortunately not enough.
What is the delay on "sapped" actions? 1s? How often does demesne tick every 8s? How long is eq loss on sap? 3-4s?
Celina saps you.
You send scrub.
You are too paralyzed to do that.
focus body - 1s wait
scrub
Sap cleansed
That's like 4 secondsish of work and a "worse" case scenario 1v1. If you are spamming in sap and that causes you to not cleanse and she gets the chance to shove you/prone you/break limbs or something after you wasted 4s spamming things in sap then that's... your own fault.

Uh, besides. How long does it really take for MULCH SAPLING;FORESTCAST SAPLING? As opposed to DISPELL ILLUSION HERE (if you have higher skill than the first person);WEAVE TERRAIN CHAOS

I thought it was .5 and 10 seconds.
Vathael2009-08-07 19:09:53
10 seconds what? .5 on delay is better than 1s.

It may be .5, but anything sent during that .5 (including clotting, outrift, insomnia, look, QL, and other instant actions) start that .5 over again.
and yes, it's ten seconds on tic.

.5s delay, 10s demesne timer. That's also 4 seconds that Celina will be using to hit you with stupidity, or narcolepsy, or impatience or lord knows what else if you're fighting her one-on-one, but in this case, yeah, it's Zynna's faulty curing system. Not her fault, though, she's just asking questions.

Uh, but the cosmic planes aren't permanently terrained like ethereal always has trees?
We can get into the deeper aspects of druids being far more relient on demesnes than mages, and mages being functional outside their demesne, as well as being able to terrain an entire demesne in one go (mirage), but we won't because sapling is fine. It was nerfed (a much needed nerf) but it's fine now.

Wow. Realitycheck.
Vathael2009-08-07 19:12:38
At any rate, just write a script that gets run when you are sapped that has basic sap afflictions and affliction healing hindering things in it and prioritize it all and make it fire on a timer for a sap healing script.
Vathael2009-08-07 19:13:33
@Alianna: What I'm saying is it costs Celina 4s of EQ to cast sap on the target in that 4s of time Zynna could have healed sap.

what does soap have to do with the ability to cure in sap heh.

So maybe ethereal doesn't need to always have trees.

If by Mirage, you mean the "almost mythical in phantasms" and by sapling, you mean "expert skill in druidry" yes, there are some discrepencies. It's not even, you know it's not even. I do however digress.
zynna, your best bet is to do like Vathael suggests. Make a script that turns off your reflexes (basically) and performs the cures then turns back on. Make sure that last part is in, I had to code turning the system back on for Ethelon's choke reflexes, and it still sucks.

Because it only takes what, half a second to scrub with artisoap. What is the balance for cleanse or even (heaven forbid) hyperhidrosis?
I could see if sap slowed every command down, but they still went through. If I
Focus body;apply mending to legs;outr kombu;eat kombu: only the eat kombu will probably go through. Either that, or I'm thinking of Choke.
Vathael2009-08-07 19:26:54
Soap is a faster recovery time that's all it is. It's 2s BALANCE recovery instead of 4s EQ recovery that is cleanse. There is nothing about it that makes curing sap easier.
