Soap is a faster recovery time that's all it is. It's 2s BALANCE recovery instead of 4s EQ recovery that is cleanse. There is nothing about it that makes curing sap easier.

If it cures in 2 seconds instead of four, that gives you another action to do something while it takes Celina her four seconds to sap.

Anyway, soap or not Sap sucks.

So maybe ethereal doesn't need to always have trees. hide.gif

If by Mirage, you mean the "almost mythical in phantasms" and by sapling, you mean "expert skill in druidry" yes, there are some discrepencies. It's not even, you know it's not even. I do however digress.

zynna, your best bet is to do like Vathael suggests. Make a script that turns off your reflexes (basically) and performs the cures then turns back on. Make sure that last part is in, I had to code turning the system back on for Ethelon's choke reflexes, and it still sucks.

Skill levels are irrelevant. The game is balanced around omnitrans.

It is uneven, it's supposed to be that way. Just like I can't do crap outside a demesne while a mage has a full offense.

edit: and sap costs five power, so it's not like I can spam it after they cleanse.
Vathael2009-08-07 19:31:46
...Ok? Go pay 250 cr so you can cleanse faster then if it makes you super bad.

You're own fault for picking a skillset that revolves around 3 skills.

Because you completely missed the point.

I'll put it to you this way, if you were trying to shoot me, you would have just shot Shakespeare.

I really am, it's the lack of meds.

What you're trying to say is "my main skillset is OP, but it's ok because your two skillsets are half OP, so it makes up for it."
Vathael2009-08-07 19:38:24
How the :censor: did we get to skillset arguments over sap curing..... Is this the forum version of Skeleton Hearth.

Sap is in a skillset, your move.

If this were Skeleton Hearth there'd be more talking about how I'm a useless female dog and joyful backstabbing of people as soon as they log off.

But yay sap, anyways.

Mirage is not in the same skillset as someones ABILITY TO CURE SAP is.

Get Shaddus to understand that. Also your move.

Wrong. Think about ethereal. We'd be chopping our own saplings just to meld, only to replant them again. Would be impossible to defend.

I haven't been an aqua in so long I don't know, but do Aquamancers have some type of ability that stops you from melding an area like saplings?

Cause it's really lame that you have to buy and maintain an axe just for one skill against fighting druids. It's all good if you are a axemaster or whatever they are called, but having to keep an axe just to chop down trees is a bit much.
Furien2009-08-07 19:47:40
There's an axe design with bad stats that's really cheap built specifically for chopping saplings. You don't even have to wield it.

Yes. Reality/mirage.

Sapling and chop were nerfed rather dramatically. Now you can buy a crappy little axe and don't even have to wield it to chop, and it will always fall. It's just like buying and maintaining an ignite enchant or anything else you need for combat.

Yes, Terrain in Phantasms. And if I'm an aqua and I terrain, but someone else has to meld over me, they have to dispell my terrain before they can do so. If I just walk into a room and weave terrain, a mage has to dispell/realitycheck before they can meld and add their own terrain. If I accidently terrain before I meld, I have to do the same thing.

If Celina melds and dies, Crek can meld right over her sapling. Sap is OP, (Sap)lings are OP as well. hide.gif
