As I hunted cows today, I started thinking. Cows flee as soon as they're hit right? You only get in one hit. Would it be possible to delay the fleeing with... 0.5 seconds, so that monks and double-wielders get to perform a full round of attacks?
Shiri2009-08-07 07:45:02
No. Monks and 1-handers are already overpowered. The last thing they need is to be able to hunt cows efficiently as well.

How will I ever open a fast food restaurant in Lusternia if I don't have access to mass quantities of beef, Shiri!?

Lol, no Bias there at all. If we let monks kill Cows well who knows what might happen. People might be able to get to level 10 in two days!!
Gregori2009-08-07 10:43:08
Just to note... Shiri is a monk... so if he was biased it would be for monks, not against.
Perhaps he is just thinking of the cows! Think of the cows, man!
p.s. I agree with Shiri.

Trust Krin to take that seriously...
Karel2009-08-07 15:13:07
Okay, so monks are OP, but what about the double wielders? Not letting them get in their two hits is...is...an injustice! Once the change is implemented, which it no doubt will be, monks, bc's and bm's should unite against the bovines! Crush! Kill! Deep-fry!

No. Lusternia would fall apart if monks could really hunt cows/mutts.
Ardmore2009-08-07 16:59:23
Real monks only need one hit. Learn to play your class.

....I was able to get to circle 16 on my first day hahahahahahaha

The best thing about hunting is you get to wrangle cows /derail
Karel2009-08-07 20:05:15
Makes them easier to kill. But not for monks!

Tip: Find the grass/hay. Gather the cows. Lead them to a room with doors at the exits (I used to like Glomdoring's commodity cache). Close the door. SWING AWAY!
Cows are not smart enough to open doors.

Or break them.
God that would be scary if denizens could break doors.

Look, it's already hard enough to play a monk. Why do we need to do even MORE thinking to play the game?

Some denizens do. That cloaked figure in Stewartsville? I used to close doors on it and wait around as it bashed them. When it broke one open I would run and close the next until it went away (prior to figuring out how to get it right every time).

On Test, the Supernals used to just knock on the door and open them if they were unlocked, I didn't realize some actually did.

I have yet to master that trick...or learn it...or of it...
