Following the rule at the top, indicating not to check anything that's normal for the world (Lusternia, in this case) Syridean got a 3, Tyrni a 16, I'll do a few more after I eat something. Damn me and my alt brigade.

I got a 23, though it might need to be lower. I'm fine with Joli being slightly mary sue-ish.

Joli can be terribly emo sometimes, but I try to roleplay that kind of stuff away from the public eye.

And yes, some of the things she does is just to be sexy, but wagging her tail isn't one of them! She does that because she is happy.

The thing that killed me was my Cameo, and the way he dresses(something which I actually specifically have to make designs for!)

Or maybe your problem was like mine and you transposed your mind onto the character (too many similarities >_<)

I understand this test for fan fiction, or for an author writing a fantasy novel, but to apply this to a game character just seems silly to me. (unless you are playing old school Warhammer were the character you play is mostly likely going to die very quickly)

Why would living out fantasies been seen as a positive or negative when you are playing the same character in a game for x amount of years?
It's not like PCs of the game world are supposed to represent the average denizen.

Mmmmmaaaaybe a little. It's because, the way I develop characters, is I start off with me, and then slowly seperate it out till I have a mostly full sub-persona.

So how is a game character different from a character an author or writing makes up?

Unless its an autobiography normally the author is not writing about themselves, but is instead writing about a world in which certain characters exist.
However when you are playing a game, 90% of time the player is playing a game for the player's enjoyment, not to help create some world.

So, if some mortal builder builds some denizens, the mary sue aspect would be relevant, but other than that I don't see how it applies. In many games that you play, the character you create is called your "avatar" (which has all the connotations of a projection of yourself into the game world)

I think my results are going to be warped. Things like "How many animal companions does your character keep? (Ordinary, non-magical pets like cats and dogs do not count." Well...I'm an ecologist druid....I can't help it.

I still need to do it for Casilu. The 62 was for myself.

You would not check that box since it is normal for the world of lusternia. Artifact pets might count though, not sure.

At first I didn't read the instructions and got something ridiculous, like, 98, I did it again properly and got 18, without bookbinding Law would be in the "No you're totally not a mary sue" catagory
