Highschool is what, 15-19?
Easiest time ever. I partied all the time and was wasted in school and I still passed. Now I got three job offers, the chance to go to university or I can go to the army as officer.
Oh, and you should have your first time in high school. Smoke your first (and maybe only) weed. Your first hangover!
Um, some more stuff: Take care of your body, don't overdo partying (If you party, party hard, but not all the time), suck up to teachers, make a group of friends, and enjoy every moment.
PS: Jock over and out

Usually 13-14 depending on what month you're born to 17-18.

Hm, my advice still holds true. Maybe she should wait with the party stuff for a year or two though.

I recently graduated this year ( age 17. ) and I have to say that highschool was both the best and worst four years of my life. It was also a stage in my life where I experimented with my sexuality, made mistakes, fixed them and had a few reality checks, both big and small.
It's been a long journey, but I made it! Despite all my teachers wishing me dead.

I had entirely too many teachers go to prison for statutory rape, embezzlement, fraud or arson during my high school years for them to be considered good at all. Some people have all the luck.

...o.o; I can kind of imagine you sitting in your math class, bored as hell and all of a sudden, a cop kicks down the door and grabs your teacher up by the arms and drags them off. Just before they slam the door, another, disoriented teacher is shoved into the room and resumes where the last teacher left off like nothing happened.
Such is the mind of me.
Awesome.

Totally happened, during lunch though. Silly shop teacher, tricks are for adults.

High school sucks. You're going to have a bunch of road bumps. Maybe you'll experiment with sex, drugs, alcohol, maybe you won't. I didn't. Of course I hid in my house 99% of high school, rarely went out with friends (said friends wanted to beat me most times for not going out), didn't date once. Hated most of my teachers, only like a few. Wanted to kill myself in senior year since I took 3 AP classes (technically 4), one being a repeated class. Hated my school admin because they're all dickheads, plus the principle is a used car salesman (no joke!) who I was also of the firm belief that he was a pedo. Most of the "cool" kids are preps who believe that cheating to be Prom Queen/King is the way to go. Prom sucked too, as did most homecoming dances. You'll also probably realize how corrupt life is at the top (Student Body pres., etc. Refer to Prom Queen/King thing above.)
Of course you high school life may just be far better than mine. In fact, I'm 99% sure it'll be better. But high school will still suck. You'll want it to be over and into college already (if you choose that.) Just remember do good, try and get good grades. Try to have a plan for life after by junior year. Senior year the latest. Trying to get started during summer is the super suck.
All in all, the best bit of advice is: Have Fun.

God this thread is full of the nerds who hated highschool because they constantly got beat up and had no friends.

Nah, I had plenty of friends and nobody ever thought about touching me thanks to my brother.
High school still sucked.

Hardly. Don't try to make yourself feel better by placing everyone in your shoes.

I actually had a ton of friends. But they're all off doing their own thing now.

I'm really meaning the people who are 'OMG HIGHSCHOOL SUCKED I WANTED TO KILL MYSELF!'
No one cares about their pitiful life story. Anywho... -gone-

I'm with Ash. Smart man, that one.
Plus it helps if you're an incredible genius like I am.

It was a joke, dork. Do you see me crying like some emo gone wild?
Ashteru2009-08-12 22:21:13
It's interesting to see how many people hated school, it seems. I never had any problems or anything, and I don't think 90% of the people I know had any. Is that a European/American thing or a minority turning into a majority in certain corners of the net thing?

So high school is just Hell and Heaven all packed together into some sorta demented snowball.
I think I'm getting that after my first few days, everyone is taller than me though Dx

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
Anyways, it sounds like you've already got this whole 'high school' thing figured out. Freshman year sucks, sophomore is decent, junior is great, but then the beginning of senior year you're dead doing college apps. second semester senior though... wheee!
Shaddus2009-08-12 23:10:39
Do your homework. Pay attention in class. When in doubt, stand back and breathe deep. Those petty ass girls who snicker at you because you aren't as pretty as they are? They will end up as meth heads after graduation, get plenty of pimples, end up pregnant and they won't know the father, and more. Screw them, you don't need them. Be yourself.
This will sound retarded, but the things you think you don't care about because you won't ever use it? You will. Trust me, you will and when you need it, you won't remember jack squat.

Really? Because my Home Ec, Woodshop, Calculus, Economics, Entrepeneurship and Architectural Drafting classes haven't really come in handy just yet.
