Thus, I said the creatures don't respawn like things on the elemental planes do.
But also, we get ganked when we go on water/earth, we don't have as free access to essence as the cities do.

YOU try to gank Shuyin... c'est impossible!
I resort to asking him politely to leave.

needs more pfifth/pits/crucify/etc, then I go down quite easily
But really, it's cause I have a cubix, the cubix makes it tons easier. For the average lusternian, it's pretty hard to get essence.

Yeah, but I don't see someone killing Maeve just to slay Aspects. Those are more of an afterthought.
And yes, you do have creatures that drop essence. I don't know the circumstances behind them, but you have stags/peacocks on EthSeren, and hawks/centipedes on Glom that drop essence. Not only that, but you have mobs that aggro you if you're enemied to them, and try to attack you while you're hunting said essence bearers. If you get more of those, can we have Starbeasts of the Light/Shadows of the Taint* to walk around water/earth to attack people who are enemied?
When it comes down to it, the game will never be "even" for everyone. The grass is always greener on the other side, and people need to make do with what they have.
(*not really what they should be called)

Just checking but do the angels/demons aggro to enemies of celestia/nil? I haven't participated in a raid on either in ever, The only reason I ask is that ethereal is not just a commune version of elemental. The sort of things you would find in cosmic and elemental for cities all have to be tossed into the one plane for communes.
People argued for quite some time about ethereal being meldable by mages because it was like cosmic for communes, so to then have an argument likening it to elemental for communes is well... yeah.

The angels and demons are aggressive to enemies to Celestia/Nil.

Then yeah, the wanderers who auto attack in the area that commune Avatars are found in attack just like the wanderers who are found in the areas with the cosmic equivalents. This is a tangent really, but equality might be expanding the nest/stone areas and having the ethereal essence critters spawn there.

There's a bigger difference though: The ethereal counterparts don't respawn automatically. Things on Elemental/Cosmic planes do.

Wait a minute, you mean cosmic creatures don't require them to influence some mobs on neutral territory just to get a single one back? Goly gee darn whiskerpants that's news to lil ol me!

To add to this tangent, one variety of the three essence bearing critters (opossums and spiders, respectively) spawn only in the trees. A sneaky person could nab those uninterrupted completely as is.

Thick tendrils of shadow lash out at you with excruciating pain from the robed figure of a Daughter of Shadow and pull you in close to her. Slowly, she presses her cold lips to the delicate flesh of your neck, drawing life from your freezing body.

I guess this is why you quest for daughters and demons do like 400 damage and auto-repop.

Having bothered to look at the TIME, it seems that this attack of yours was very very close to the New Moon. You know, when they're the strongest. Maybe you should take a look at near the Full Moon instead. Or in the middle.
Skewed numbers are skewed.

Archangel tclap hits me for 1k. Blackout/stun/fun. Both mobs can be solo'd.

Hey guys. The flaws still exist. It still is completely nonsensical that it works this way (why the heck do the people trying to return things to normal have to constantly raid for hours and hours when it isn't even necessary on the part that actually does the damage?) Why can't we even tell how close it is to being done?
Hello? :/

Alternatively, y'know, we could just delete it. I don't think anyone would miss it that much.

Not going to happen, as per Estarra. It would be nice if it is fixed, if it must exist, though!

Just wait it out now. Since there's some tangible disadvantage to having either ritual up and running at this point, we'll get to see how much of a disadvantage it is to have them running the next time either is initiated. Then all we need is someone saying, "hey guys, we could just make this a whole lot simpler and avoid complications by keeping the other forest's/city's avatars/cosmic lords dead as often as possible", and convincing their org that it'll spark a shift into old enmities instead of a 3 vs. 1. Maybe. Possibly. Right?
