I have just started playing again after a long time away.

Nementh is currently in Glomdoring, but while I like the forest, I do not like playing in the forest... you guys are awesome, it just aint my style. However I am enemied to Serenwilde, and the last thing I want to do when I return from a long time away is restock all my decayed stuff AND play the 'find the right person, jump through hoop a to jump through hoop b crap that is required to get unenemied. So, noticing a slight variation of the typical Glomdoring RP in the Nekotai I have become curious about them... also considering trying to return to Magnagora.

I just want to get my bearings before I make a decision like that as I want to try and avoid the guild hopper label.

Welcome back.

I'm not sure what information you are trying to seek.

At basic, he wants info on Mag and the Nekotai.

Pretty much, just enough so I can figure out if I will be able to fit in or not, etc...

I don't care if they are winning, just enough so that I can reconcile the RP with Nemenths, or know if it is even possible, instead of wasting time, lessons, and or credits in a palce to realize I don't really fit in.

mag is always a fun place to be and it comes with fain. monks are silly, learn to play a real class. join the ur'guard! people say glom is "on top" right now, number wise maybe but not really. i dont know who you are but your name seems familiar.. join mag!

I am really old, been lurking on the forums a while and I was a Geomancer for a while in Mag before Glomdoring.

Not sure if I want to go back to warrior class, that is a really big investment.

Note quite sure what you are looking for, but here it goes.

The Wyrden Nekotai primarily worship the Idols of spider, wasp, beetle, bat, and scorpion. These motifs can be seen throughout the guild hall and the newly built Wyrden Temple. I have a guild project to pay gold for those who submit idol-related designs to Glom cartels.

There is a DEEP guild history (10-page book detailing 3 waves of Nekotai); we owe gratitude to the illithoid, but are utterly devoted to Grandmother Scorpion. The deeper you get into the Cult, the more you come to understand these relationships. We have a growing guild library if you are into writing tasks. Also thorough documentation in GHELP.

The Cult has a healthy guild economy. Thanks to the store, we are able to purchase goods from those who practice the trades at usual market value. It seems the more I pay out, the more money I end up taking in... which means the more I can pay out. No profit motive other than stuffing the pockets of our contributing trades people.

Guild advancement is reasonable, and mixes geography, history, economy, combat related, and some RP rites to immerse you into the Cult. Good RP is appreciated, but you won't be snubbed for being a combatant. Vice versa is also true. We have two paths-- history and combat. You pick what suits your playing style.

The guild leadership is stable, and our membership is holding steady if not on the rise. Not unusual to see Nekotai in the top 1/3 of TOPGUILDS. Not to mention there is a social clan that bridges Ninjakari with Nekotai (from the days of the Magdoring tradition). Good socialization even when Nekotai aren't around in numbers.

That, and we have Sidd... and a viable combat mechanic that doesn't require arties (though base-level stat runes are nice, as are bleeding runes).

Read: All the reasons I really shouldn't have left the Nekotai.

I <3 Glomdoring but I've no real issues leaving. Nekotai though.. they're just groovy.
